Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. Indecisa tra 3 e 4. Servizio, discutibile: per ben due volte il cibo più che servito nel piatto, è volato nel piatto ( con camicia macchiata di pomodoro). La cucina? Non posso dire nn buona ma mancava di sapore. È vero che in Italia siamo abituati troppo bene però mi aspettavo un qualcosa in più. Delusione. Niente da dire sulla quantità, tanto.
Food and service were great. Our reservation was for noon, when the restaurant opened, and we arrived at 11:30. One of the workers invited us to step in out of the driving rain, but then the officious hostess asked us to leave and come back closer to opening. If I were not meeting other people, I would have cancelled the reservation at that moment. Bad customer service is as memorable as good food.
Best pasta trio on the face of the Earth. Very congnizant of getting you in/out by showtime. Definitely somewhere to re-visit again and again.

Great time as always ! Love the food and they have the best breadsticks ever! Wonderful menu and wine selections. We always enjoy lunch here before seeing a show !
