Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. great value for the $20 tasting menu!! it is a bit tight and frenetic however it is Christmas in NYC, I'd definitely would go back.

We had another outstanding meal at our favorite restaurant when we visited your amazing town Dec. 6th. Every time we are there Nino is our waiter and tends to our every need. Just an awesome dining experience every single time.

Made our reservation a month ago. Arrived tonight five minutes before reservation and waited in the very crowded bar for almost half an hour. Were then escorted to a very crowded dining room with tables practically on top of each other. The three of us were seated at a table that was obviously a deuce. I was surprised since I've been here many times. Maybe because we didn't have reservations, but it was lunch time at around 12pm and empty. The waitress in front down by the bar not very friendly. I ordered the is So bucco. Which I have all the time and was very small and fatty for $43. I was shocked since it always was good. Brought my 2 daughter's who were never there before. Having been there years ago and loving rhe food, service and experience - this experience was beyond dissapointing, frustrating and just plain awful. Paid way too much for food that was just not up to par, hostess was rude and we had to ask for our pasta 5 times b4 it was even served. Not the 5 star meal i remembered. Basically spent 145 dollars and left hungry and annoyed. Used to be my favorite place but not ever again. Very sad.
The food was incredible! Seated early but for only 2 people we were squeezed into a table along the wall. Service was very bad but it was the Saturday after thanksgiving and they were extremely busy. Was not a relaxing dinner experience I was hoping for. I felt as though it was very expensive fast food. Again food was incredible!
