About this business

Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. Sample their delectable prix-fixe pasta menu and the kitchen's redefinition of Italian flavors with an impressive wine list and seasonal cocktails.

Home made pasta and entrees to die for! Short ribs and lamb were outstanding! Strudel di Mele and coffee for dessert.

We had the pasta special. It was so yummy! A taste of three different pasta dishes served table side. The service was great as well as the atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

Showed for our reservation on Saturday January 6, 2018, waited about 5 minutes. Was sat upstairs to the left which was fine because it was not as loud as downstairs. Was greeted by the help who asked about water. Never got it. Was greeted by the waiter who never introduced himself (found out name at end of dinner - Charles) and asked us what type of water we wanted. Came back about 10 minutes later to say he was looking for water. What the hell is that supposed to mean????? Finally got water. Waiter came back to table to tel... read more

Much like a previous review, the pasta was overcooked and tasteless served on a tiny table with 4 chairs meant really for 2 uncomfortably in a small crowded room. The bread unmemorable. Service was fine although water had to be requested twice.

Almost 5star. Just outside Time Square we found this place with a cozy atmosphere. They squeezed us in at a table by the door without a reservation. The place is for the meat & fish eater. Every morsel on everyone's plate was outstanding: starting with the bread & dip, Caesar, Veal parmigiana, chicken and risotto. Big wine list, check the year, it wasn't as advertised. Then check your bill...we were charged $15 for a small plate of pasta for a child that at $9 was endless for everyone else and the dessert sampler at $7.50 a ... read more
