I found Dr. Badr a few years ago, via a recommendation from Dr.David Atherton, my now adult children’s’ Pediatric Dentist, in Redmond.
I had been very turned off by the “hard-sell” dentist (first name Anthony, also in Redmond) my family had been seeing. He kept trying to sell us “cosmetic dentistry”. He even asked me to meet him for a glass of wine, to discuss spending $21,000 for porcelain caps. Even though I explained that we had two teens about to enter private colleges, and that we were saving for that, he kept selling, selling, selling. In fact, you know how “425 Magazine” does their “Top Doctor” and “Top Dentist” issues? Well...my old dentist’s staff was made to send out multiple emails and would ask, at every appointment, THAT WE VOTE FOR HIM to be in the magazine issue. It turned my husband and I OFF, terribly. They lobbied us to vote for his practice as the Best Dentist practice on the east side.
Upon the recommendation of Dr. Atherton, we switched to Dr. Negin Badr.
Dr. Badr’s entire staff is professional and personable.
Dr. Badr herself, is intelligent, talented, and completely professional, all while exhibiting a kind and caring, low key, bedside manner. While she HAS told me that I needed a root canal a couple of years ago, which NO ONE wants to hear, she referred me to a terrific oral surgeon, who did a great job. And, Dr. Badr was correct, in that I needed that root canal. She has never once tried to “sell me” on any cosmetic dentistry, although I understand that she is highly capable in that area. She has state-of-the-art equipment, that makes check-ups, cleanings and even fillings/bridges, pretty much, a breeze.
When I did ask about getting my teeth whitened, she told me she had a special going that included taking impressions of my mouth to create a personalized “dam” to fit MY teeth, perfectly, as well as the highly effective whitening product.
I enjoy my twice yearly cleanings. If I need a filling, she and her staff are gentle, professional and highly capable of delivering a positive and for me, painless process.
Would I recommend Dr. Negin Badr as a dentist? You BET I would...and I DO.
