the understaffing at this hospital is horrendous. any appointment you need is scheduled 6 months out. Twice i've had to walk out the ER and go to a different hospital because my pain/injury needed attention and the wait was entirely too long.
DENTAL CLINIC: After going thru 5 months of pain and sacrificing 2 good teeth, i was still feeling pressure, pain and sensitivity, i decided to go an OUTSIDE Dentist to get a SECOND OPINION,,to find out that my dental work done by (Resident Dr. Valancy) and Cathy her assistant,,AT BAYPINES DENTAL CLINIC, WAS DONE INCORRECTLY,,,,they have caused damage and stress on my gums and teeth,( resident-Dr. Lauren Valancy) did my dental work and SHE WAS NEVER SUPERVISED,,also the (dental assistant) Cathy,, was covering for her as well... read more
It's my opinion Bay Pines provides me with top notch medical care for my service-connected injuries. When I first began coming to Bay Pines 26 years ago, it has gone through a miraculous transition especially with the way I notice the excellent customer service.
Total horse manure! I have more nightmares about today's Veterans Administration Healthcare System than those I occasionally have being a former medic in Vietnam. I particularly won't be hoodwinked by VAHS employees touting themselves to be veteran themselves whom I view as "insider vets" versus "outsider vets"...insiders being the worst of the worst with their elitist, supremacist attitudes over the outsiders.
Went again to see Dr. GRIFFEN about my hearing new hearing age a just met and again I cannot say enough about what a great job she did. She takes the time to be sure the job is done right and you never feel rushed. I drive 50 miles when I have an patient clenched 2 miles from my house in Bradenton because of excellent work. Tha k you
The Choice Program is so far behind in their work that they can't process a referral, for seventeen days, then the waiting begins. They then get five more days to contact you. Then fifteen more to get an appointment for you. Which might be whenever. Another VA waste of money.
This is how healthcare should be. Everyone is responsive and positive and there is a genuine sense of concern about the patients. When I take my father there we have no doubt that he will be heard, questions answered and he will be cared for promptly, professionally and with kindness and respect.

Health Care in the USA is pretty bad. After a fall in 93 and the onset of chronic pain in 94, I came to the VA in 2000. I gave 3 stars becuase the do a good job of routine maintenance - but my primary complaints of severe chronic pain and traumatic brain injury are still huge problems, and they won't give me the time of day on it. Anythign they've done has been too little and very ineffective. It's too hard to diagnose i guess.
