I have been a client of the Bay Pines Heathcare system for many years. My primary care is at the Bill Young clinic in Cape Coral. Aside from regular physicals and preventive healthcare, I have had kidney surgery at Bay Pines. I know the VA is slammed in some regions and maybe rightfully so. But I have to compliment the healthcare professionals, the operations crews, administration, clerical and the volunteers who together do a very difficult job very well. Appointment times mean nothing Check in and wait and wait and wait and wait. 2 hrs average for mod c
I just had surgery. They should have kept me a few more days but I wanted to go home. Been fighting fevers since and a lot of other scary things but the staff was great at Bay Pines. I wish there was a quicker follow up also and they took my lifestyle more into account but I think they are really doing there best. I just moved from Austin and couldn’t even imagine what my fate would have been if this happened while I was still living there. Great service to our Veterans. I'm a veteran and have been to their hospital several times for service related issues, they have been excellent and caring.
When calling to have an expired prescription renewed, why does the system tell me to call back in FOUR BUSINESS DAYS? This is ridiculous and definitely not responsive to the needs of veterans!!
my stay on the fifth floor was as good as any hosp.I broke med pain med protocol in Oct I need and pray to get my pain meds reinstated My Doctor will not give me a positive answer how can I get my Pain med again so I can function near normal.
