I've always had good care at the Bay Pines VA. I know others who have been very pleased with the care they received as well. I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. No place is perfect but given a choice, I'll stick with the VA.
I have be a patient at Bay Pins since 1998 when I live in Pinellas County my primary care Doc. Dr. Baul he is the best. I now live in Ocala, Fl. and I still go to Bay Pines. I have no problem with there services they do a Excellent job taking care of me. Thank You.
good program There, would like to come back for PTSD
I needed a prescription that had gotten lost in the mail. I went to Bay Pines VA and told them what had happened, and a lady stayed after her normal work day, getting my badly needed drugs. Great people who do care for us vets.
Dr. Hayes (Radiologist) performed a scheduled surgery on me on the 19th. He was professional, caring, and knowledgeable. When the pain became unbearable, he held my hand for 30 minutes until the pain meds kicked in and told me I would be OK. Bay Pines is so fortunate to have Dr, Hayes. 5 Stars!!!

The fact that you treat veterans the way you do is a disgrace
Don’t go to Lee County VA for mental health. Last year they told me to go back to Minnesota for mental health, they couldn’t do much. I asked for help, saw a psychiatrist and another appointment in 30 days, fifteen minutes later got some pills. Waited 30 days, got the reminder call, showed up and the Doctor was out. Today in March 30, 2018. I was told the next opening is May 11, 2018! They did call and say come back, we can squeeze you in. That means other Veterans are being short changed! Take the pills and don’t bother us!... read more
