I thought my dad had a stroke, he was retired and did not have insurance. He served as a marine and I took him to the VA, Emergency room said that they could not treat him but walked us to another part of the hospital to fill out paperwork, and they treated my dad right away with tests. Why can't I get an OPTOMETERY appointment in PORT CHARLOTTE CLINIC??? This clinic has very poor service been trying for 3 weeks to make an appointment but just keep getting a run around they say maybe after September but they won't give me an appointment. Who do I call what recourse do I have? PORT CHARLOTTE VA CLINIC really sucks.

It concerns me that VA employee and combat veteran Stephen Pina was demoted here for a personal Facebook post, but VA employee and AFGE Tatishka Thomas has not been demoted for her personal Facebook post of "f*cking white privilege". What a joke. Deny care until one gives up or dies. It's no wonder the veteran suicide rate is so high. Four years I have been providing non-va documentation about my scoliosis, kyphoscoliosis and a multitude of spine issues. They have done nothing but tell me I'm fine. There's nothing wrong with me. I am a hormonal post menapausal bi-polar whiner.
I requested a disability exam for an increase of my left foot that is a lot worse & 0 %. When I went to my exam PA James D Dandrea from C&P examined my right hand instead of my foot. I had to be called back to examine the correct extremity. My increase was also denied by regional office. I will not go back there I rather see a contractor. He also did my exams in the past all denied,what was put in exam notes did not match what I told him.
Should be defunded immediately and Health Credit Cards issued to Disabled Veterans.......this will give Veterans FASTER, BETTER, CLOSER to home Health Care.......and save taxpayers BILLIONS and the lives of many Veterans.
A wonderful facility - they take care of everything.
