Just came home from Bay Medical. Went in with chest pains and was taken in ASAP and from there I was amitted to the 2nd floor for heart patients. Wow...the nurses on the second floor are the BEST. They treated me with amazing care and made my stay FABULOUS. Had a stress test done and was treated with great care. I was then taken to the CAT surgeral area and the nurses there were great also. Your ER is ridiculous!!!!! I have tried and tried to use your facility and give you a chance, as I live close and it's convenient. I have spent way more time in your waiting area than anyone should, especially with good insurance and tonight with a crying, hurting 5 year old. When we arrived tonight there were about 7 people in the waiting area. My dad has been in here for the past 2 weeks, the nurses and CNA's have been wonderful!! Esp. Krista and Marquita on the 5th floor. Also a big thank you to the vallet girl Melinda , I don't even have to tell her my name. I drive up and she takes my keys and she's gone and she always asks about my dad. I would always bring my family here.
Show up at 9:30, violently ill and vomiting blood. Good reason to believe it's a severe infection. Sit for 2.5 hours, shaking in the waiting room like I'm freezing to death. And not even the first sign of... anything. Absolutely useless unless an emergency situation where you will get immediate admittance (heart attack, compound fracture, massive head wound...). Otherwise, Gulf Coast is a better option. Or walk-in clinics. Hell WebMD and a shady pill dealer off Harrison would be better medical treatment than is received at B... read more
My mom was admitted Wednesday for pneumonia. On Friday they tell her that her heart has stopped beating several times, possibly due to medication she's on from a heart attack one year ago. She then meets with her heart Dr on Saturday for him to tell her they stopped that medication and want to monitor her heart for a few days. Fast forward to four hours later when she finds out the hospital dr treating her for pneumonia is discharging her because she's starting to sound better. I must say a big thank you to Dr Yolanda Jones for really changing my mind about how I really felt about Bay Medical,I've had bad experiences in the past but only a good doctor can change your mind.Shes very reliable I love her all those stars are for her and the team that did my surgery yesterday.... :*
I have had 5 of my 6 children there. The maternity floor is the best hands down. The best, caring, loving staff. Chrissy was awesome! My day nurse Ms. Robyn was hands down the best! I had a couple pretty good night nurses also! They care about your needs. The pediatrician nurse was also great! Chrissy helped with prepping for surgery. :)
