If you love your people, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL! I took my son (16 yrs) to the Emergency Room at Bay Medical Center with severe stomach pains in his right side. We arrived at 9:20 pm. We were finally called back for vitals somewhere around 11:30 pm. We were put into a room, the nurse got him situated and said, "The Dr. will be in soon." I've read several of the reviews. Most of them are negative. My dad passed away last August. He had emphysema. He got very sick in February of 2011. He was in Select at Bay Medical for several weeks. They were wonderful. Dr. Nunez was is pulmonary doctor. We had our dad for those 4 1/2 years because of the care he got between Bay Medical & Sims Veterans home. He was admitted into Bay multiple times. Each time he got excellent care. In July before he passed he was in MICU. Couldn't ask for better. Were we treated like royalty... read more
This place is nothing but money hungry---they will run you through every test known--service is horrid--better to stay home and be sick--instead of going to this place. BEWARE and Stay CLEAR
my mother was admitted for four days, she saw multiple doctors and they all told her something different, without giving any answers they released her, she came home and the next day she was at gulf coast in ICU for acute liver failure, they sent her home knowing she was not well, seems as if they just wanted her out of there, I will never let her go back to bay medical.
The nurses at bay medical have physically abused my mother, and neglected her. A nurse there had dropped a towel on the floor and had the nerve to try and put it on the patient. They refuse to help her when needed and had every excuse in the book. Had the audacity to drop my mom on her raw back leaving her bleeding. A nurse was screaming at my mom and throwing things in the room. Very unprofessional and sickening. 4 hours waiting for a bed. Still waiting now. Seriously this is rediculous. Severe abdominal pain haven't had any pain relief. I really hate this shit.
I arrived in the ER around 12:40 and 11 and half hours later I am still in the ER. This is ridiculous!!! I am so tired and ready to leave this hospital. Bay Medical you must do better.
My husband's life was saved at Bay Medical this past Sunday, while we were vacationing in PCB. He was having a heart attack, his main artery known as the Widow Maker was blocked. So thankful for the cardiologist and team working on my husband that day. They wasted no time it seems in taking the right steps in saving his life. The staff were all pleasant and attended to my husbands needs while there. We are forever grateful, and definitely will not ever forget this "vacation".
