Dr Reed did cervical fusion there for me Monday. All went well. The 4th floor nursing staff was tremendous. If ever I need any medical assistance, Bay Medical will be my choice.

Worst damn hospital I have ever been in. Will not ever be back here and I will tell family to never come here. Been in the ER for two shift changes and still sitting in here.
Dr came right in the room in ER wrote pain med and test. 3 hours later she got pain med. she was crying in pain. The nurse was really busy with trauma patients. Should have a dedicated nurse for that so that others can get care. We arrived by ambulance and had to wait in the hall for a room. Very bad management. Another nurse finally came in to take care of her. NEVER AGAIN. GULF COAST WE COMING TO YOU.
Had a cell phone stolen out of the room by an employee that came in to change the trash. Her supervisor tried to convince us that we must've accidentally knocked it in the trash can. Minutes after last seeing it and the girl changing the trash, the phone was turned off. It was turned back on later that night and we located it online right around the area that the girl lives. Now we're told that nothing can be done unless the police find her in possession of the phone. So, now we have to buy another phone and she's free to st... read more
Nurse Holly in the 4th floor ICU is one amazing lady. She took so much time and care for my mother, she got to be her nurse twice. I cannot say enough about how she touched our lives and the sincerity she showed towards our family. Our beloved mother passed away yesterday in the ICU. Holly and the doctors did everything they could to help save her, they even cried with us. Just knowing my mother touched lives even when it was her last breath means more than anyone could ever say. My grandpa is there now when I got there to see him he was in the fetal position freezing to death he has had triple bypass surgery back surgery one having stomach problems he is 73 years old and they said we are out of blankets so I took of my jacket and covered him up and he says thank you my grandpa is very stubborn and normally would not have taken my jacket but that how cold he was ..... From what I can tell... patient care is good. My mom was well cared for. That being said, finding our way from surgery waiting to her patient room was a challenge to say the least. Staff were only helpful after we wandered into ICU on "the wrong 4th floor. "
The whole staff are very accommodating and friendly. The nursing staff were helpful and checked on me every hour. I was impressed that even the cafeteria workers came in to take my food order. My room is super clean.
