PLEASE READ ALONG AS THE ORDEAL IS ONGOING. My father was admitted for an issue with his leg which was swollen. A nurse placed a catheter improperly and damaged the inside of his bladder causing him to bleed. He ended up having his urine being drained along with blood so transfusions were necessary . Few nurses were great, others quite negligent especially the one in charge who didn't want to get her hands dirty because my dad needed his fluid changed constantly to keep his bladder clean and prevent clots. Well it's 2am and I have been crying/ screaming in pain thanks to Karen Baldwall ARNP (Which by the way I'm reporting) she is works for Dr. Moises Lustgarten. In order for me to have pain meds they need permission from them and since she's the physician on call she simply said no! That is inhumane and now I'm going to spend the rest of the night in pain over something that her and her partner did which is a nerve block at Baptist Hospital of Miami This is completely unacceptable and unnecessary suffering. We came through the ER on Monday after having a bad experience and no solution from another local hospital. Everyone who came to treat my husband was polite, caring, and respectful. We were seen by a neurologist, had an MRI, and surgery was scheduled. We have been in contact with over 20 people during our stay and they have all gone above and beyond. Thank you!
Patient was admitted on Thursday afternoon. Pain meds and morphine were given in order to temporarily calm the discomfort and nausea. Friday a CT scan was ordered and seen at 11:22PM (as seen on report). It clearly states patient has an infection in his small intestine. With all due respect, it doesn't take a doctor to know that infections are usually treated with antibiotics. The worst HOSPITAL 3 days here and no one came to change the bed linens! NEVER WILL I COME TO THIS PLACE OR RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE ILL SEND THEM TO JACKSON BEFORE I SEND THEM HERE...THE ROOMS DIRTY AND DUSTY EVERYWHERE.
