I have had a BofA credit card for at least 10 years and have never paid late. Two months ago a merchant double billed me and didn't respond to my calls. I promptly disputed the 2nd charge with BofA and they reversed it while researching. A week later the merchant reversed the original charge so I was incorrectly underbilled for that charge during that statement period. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I am very unhappy with this company, after 6 years of using their trading platform. Their customer service is horrible and unhelpful. The website constantly threatens restrictions and even invents them at certain times. My biggest complaint is how Merrill Edge were complicit in the FRAUD which took place in January, where trading of certain so-called 'meme' stocks were limited to only selling. Filled a fraud complaint and after 4 months they denied it. Letter was for a billing dispute not fraud. Company did nothing to help. Company (My. Buddy Loans) that fraud me was arrested for over 222 cases of fraud and this credit card company did nothing to help me get my money back. Poor customer service, no one ever tried helping me, they just sent me from person to person.
I have been a Bank of America customer for over 10 years with an auto loan, credit card, and checking account with them. An auto loan payment went through that I did not authorize (as I had already made an auto loan payment a week prior), which in turn caused an overdraft of my checking account and Bank of America charged me $105 in overdraft fees. My brother opened an account online and went inside for help to deposit money and get help sitting up online mobile banking as it wasn't working. They declined to help him. Bank of America has lost $16,500.00 from my grand childrens savings accounts. It's going on 7 weeks that they keep saying it is under investigation and could take up to 90 working days to resolve. This is totally unacceptable to me. This has been a nightmare trying to get it back. If I over drew that much from them, I would be in jail by now.
I am very dissatisfied with Bank Of America. I paid off my credit card balance (due on April 6), April 3rd in full. This was my bill for last month. I received a new statement this month expecting it to reflect a "0" balance only to find they charged me an interest charge based off of the prior month's bill. I just received a statement from B of A for a Home Equity Line of Credit. I closed my account 8 months ago when the maturity date expired with a zero balance. It looks like they renewed my account for another 15 years without me knowing it. Last year, I kept getting emails that the maturity date was approaching and I had 3 options 1) Payoff the balance and it will automatically close. 2) Keep the balance and payoff monthly at a higher interest rate. 3) Reapply for a new HELOC. Bankers simply are unavailable- dont care to rectify system problems, arent there for card services. but but we will deny, then accept irs covid payments, and deny you access to the funds, apparently.
