Today, I requested that a fee of $5 for a lost card be waived. When asked why, I advised because I have been a customer for a very long time (15 years), a didn't think I have asked for a new card in the last, and that I currently pay $5/month for this custodial savings account that I use so that my daughter has money when she wants. I have called and stopped by a BofA location for answers and none of their associates can explain why a check drawn on a BofA account and deposited into a BofA account takes an entire week to "clear." Is it really that difficult for them to look up two separate and accounts and validate the check? Shouldn't that be something that is instant? The BofA where I have accounts closes some days, not notified in advance. You just go there and find it closed. When you check online is shows as open. Two days in a row unable to get into safety box to get documents that I really needed urgently! . Employees did not specify what was going on and why the vault could be open, and even worse: they said they did not know when it could be open again!! Seriously!!???
Very bad experience: Even though I have an appointment, Local BOA branch (1885 N Oxnard Blvd ,Oxnard, CA) did not accept it and made me wait in the line . They said " we could not help you with appointment " , and they even questioned you " how long you have the checking ? You should know that etc " . There are thieves working at Bank of American Calumet City Illinois. on May 5 at 10:30am. I went to the ATM to deposit 4000.00$ i borrowed from my 401k to get my wife a new wedding ring for her birthday. The machine states it can take up to 75 bills. I had 2000$ in hundreds and 2000$ in fifties. I used my Iphone instead of inserting my card. placed the money in the ATM on the screen it says processing transaction. Horrible experience. I come from usaa and they repay you on whatever atm charges you accumulate thru the month. Bank of America charges you to use any other bank on top of whatever the atm charges may be. This is frustrating because I'm currently waiting in line for one atm writing this complaint andit's been over 20 minutes and it's not the first time. Just the other day the atm was down not at one site but three. Forcing me to use a regular non bank of america atm... and you guessed it they charged me for their inconvenien... read more
Can you leave less then 1 star? Worst customer service I have ever seen. The manager refuses to do anything. She even takes the **** phones off ringer. Read the other reviews, stay away from this branch.
If I could give this bank 0 stars I would .. I had lost my phone wallet with my cards & someone used my card at walmart & target . Several transactions .. Tried to call several times to report it & since I couldn't verify over the phone the automated phone system kept hanging up. After 3 hours on hold I finally get on the phone with someone who files the claims .. But when he does he only files it for some of the transactions not all of them ..He told me they had 10 days to investigate it & it by then if they couldnt finish ... read more
I have been with Bank of America for over 30 years. All in all I believe it to be a good bank but their customer service has gotten worse every year. When I go in to the branch closest to my house, they have 1 teller working and 10 to 20 customers standing in line. They have shut down their drive thru banking windows. The next closest branch isn't much better. They have 2-3 tellers and 15-25 people standing in line. They also have closed down their drive through window.
