I had a Bank account with Bank of America, I deposited $800 cash, they closed my accounts 4 days later refusing to return my money. They are say that I have to wait a minimum of 180 days before they will stop payment on my checks and issue new ones. I have cancer and need this money for my cancer meds. I keep on getting the runaround. I'm moving out of State August 1st, for health reasons. They refuse to answer my question or return my money. My sister died and left me as her executor. She had ten CD's at other banks, and we had all ten of them closed and transferred to the estate in less than two weeks. For over five months, we've been trying to get BAC to close out two CD's and send the proceeds to the estate. My attorney sent them the documentation they requested twice, and I even hand delivered a third set to the bank. Making this even more difficult is that they don't answer the phone... ever. This bank takes maintenence fees. They cannot explain why. The worst service ever experienced and lost hundreds of dollars.
They should get zero. If you are a small business stay away! If you did your ppp with them, then you are likely being screwed over by them. The level of incompetence is astounding. There is a reason why they have over 10k 1 star reviews. Do business with them at your own risk.

I have been dealing with customer service since Friday 5/28 requesting the reversal of a recent escrow payment. I've made multiple phone calls and followed up via email to provide the necessary documentation (which was not made known to me until I made multiple follow up calls with Bank of America). I have yet to see the refund posted back to my bank account. I'm not sure why ****************************** Bank of America location all 4times I went in to make a payment on my Great grandmother's mortgage with her bill using cash and was told by the same Caucasian man I've seen all 3times today 06/16/21 2pm made 4times. That I have to have an account or ID in order to make a payment using the exact cash to pay the bill. I want to let the public know that Bank of America sent me a letter stating that " Upon review of your accts we have determined you're operating in a business type we have chosen not to service at Bank of America. As a result, we've made the decision to close your accts...."!! An acct that they approved!! Spoke to a manager and she could not tell me what "business type" I am operating that is illegal, immoral, unethical or violating ANY LAW!! Her only comment is that BoA has the "right" to close out any account they see fit!... read more

I chose BoA for home mortgage and provided them with every document necessary ahead of time to avoid delays. Prior to the closing date, I was told the closing disclosure (necessary to be done before a mandatory 72 hour wait period) would be completed by the afternoon but they took their time and made the documents available for download only after midnight which meant an extra day of waiting for signing paperwork which would have been ok since I could have done the signing and get the permission from seller to move my stuff ... read more
Bank of America is holding a large check deposit for 9 days. I made the deposit to cover upcoming expenses. When I deposited the check, I expected a hold of 2-5 days like most financial institutions. During the hold period, I have overdrawn my account and bank of america has charged me non-sufficient funds fees. If they would release the funds from my check (or even a portion of the funds) then I wouldn't be overdrawn and wouldn't be charged fees.
