There IS no customer service. The thought that there might be is absurd. They don't want your complaints and make it impossible to lodge one. Everytime I log into to my online account the interface is different. I'm not prompted for a password but for a passcode, whatever the f.. that is. I don't have one, don't want one, don't need one. These folks aren't six sigma, not five sigma, nothing. Poorest customer service ever.
My account dipped below $1500 for a couple of days for the first time in over ten years. I was charged two different monthly fees because the drop occurred within one day of one cycle. Although I've had an account for over 15 years, they wouldn't reverse one of the fees. I have zero fees with any other banks and find their fees unethical. I will be closing my account with the bank.
In August of 2019, someone accessed my BoA account and removed $6,000 in several transactions thru an in app called "Zelle". I of course reported this theft to BoA, filled out paperwork in the bank only to receive a letter about 20 days later informing me that nothing they can do. Maybe I was responsible for allowing someone I DO NOT KNOW to take $6,000 from my account. I disputed their findings several times in vain. Most horrible bank. Did a charge back they took my money. Turn around took my child tax credit. Tried getting my remainder balance out they transferred it to my recent account then 2 days later took it back. Now I have to wait until they send a paper check or go to a branch and "MAYBE" they can give them to me
I made an atm cash deposit on 05/12/21 and this bank reversed after 69 days saying that the money is not "good" money. I would like to open an Investigation. I regularly don't make cash deposits because I don't like to have cash on me. This is totally unacceptable!!! I tried to call them several times without any luck (my calls always got disconnected), had to explain the same over and over multiple times to multiple people...this is insane!!!!
Customer service is either poorly trained or intentionally misleading. They put a hold on over $15,000 of money (already cleared and in my BOA checking account) being used as a payment for a BOA credit card (you would think this would be quick and easy) and every time I called in to find out why I am unable to access my money or use my credit card I was: given different information and incorrect each time until the 5th call; "disconnected" several times so I had to call back and go through the automated menu again and again;... read more
My father recently passed away. He had a savings account ITF my stepmother and I. He banked at BOA for over 30 years. This bank makes you submit forms to their Estate Unit. If you have an account with their bank they will release your funds in three weeks. If you do not bank with them they will not release your funds for at least six weeks. It might be a legal practice but it certainly is an unethical practice to withhold funds from an account that belonged to their customer in a time of grief and need for the family of that... read more
Stay away from this company. After being a customer for many years, there have been so many red flags with the way they conduct business. A VERY predatory company that not only is one of the largest financial contributors to global warming, but also goes out of its way to scam its customers out of all the money it can in the most backwards of ways.
