I’ve been using this bank institution for a few years cause my real bank I like to use can’t be used in the state I’m in . I like my small bank but I can’t cabs checks in staffed when I’m gone . So I chose Bank of America . They have ATMs everywhere but the problem I have is ridiculous. They won’t cash my checks ! I give them cashier checks or personal checks , IRS checks and they won’t cash them immediately. Called Bank of America for a payoff figure for my mortgage. Was given the amount and two options for payoff, a cashier check or wire transfer. With Corona concerns decided to send a wire transfer. Paid the fee and sent the wire transfer, making sure to follow exact instructions. Transfer went through but later that day was returned. BOC took out additional money and could give no reason for the return, Had to make the payoff through cashier check causing extra cost as well as the additional interest on the loan. Bank of America has a reputation of working around the rules and regulations that are put upon them. No matter how careful you think you are, they find a way to skirt around the rules and still screw the customer in the end. I was affected by BOA in 2006 and could not get help or resolution. It cost me over $600/month in late fees and interest. This went on for over 6 months. My story is long so let me preface, do NOT use Bank of America for a home loan. I bought my first house last year, boa couldn't get everything together to close in time so we closed a day late. This year I sold that house and am buying a new one. I thought with 2020 being what it was, perhaps it was just a fluke. So I went with them again because they offer $7500 to go to closing costs. I wasted so much money allowing my small business to bank with Bank of America. They take advantage of small businesses, especially those affected by COVID and the pandemic and charge ridiculous fees. Also when closing my account, I asked that they put MY NAME on the check because I changed the name of my business a long time ago however, Bank of America did not allow me to change my business name with them. Of course they send a check with the old business name. I’ll never bank with them again.

I switched to thins bank after banking with chase for 10 years. I thought everything was going good until I got unauthorized charges from Walmart. They say my “pin” was being used. And the denied my claim. Almost $3000 has been spent off my account. I don’t even shop at this Walmart. I just want Bank of America to follow thru with the dispute. That’s bill money.

I wanted a transfer and they were unable to let me use the money I worked my butt off for . Caused me to be out of work going on day 2. That adds up to now I’m out a thousand dollars and missing work. I can’t use my own money? I will be leaving this bank. That’s too many times. You need to train your employees.g

Zero stars. This place is a joke. Tried to open an account online. They take my deposit no problem. Two days later they say my account is closed and I need to go to a bank in person which is fine. But my deposit is in limbo now and I couldn't get an answer on when I would be receiving it back. It's a scam.

I have been a bank of america customer for 18 years. Every month, I deposit over 800 of cash into the same ATM machine. It's my rent money that my partner gives to me in cash, I always deposit it and then I send it over to my landlord. On thursday 10/14/2021, I went to deposit my money, I inserted my card, entered my pin, inserted the cash. The atm counted the cash and asked if I was depositing $810.00.
