I don't see any other reason as to why I was rejected for a simple checking account after the very first page of the application, except for the fact that they asked whether or not I had dual citizenship and my answer was confirmative. This is just scary that they can deny someone solely based on that fact or for no reason whatsoever, especially after sending promotions to my mail box.
Bank of America located at ***************************** has the WORST customer service. They don't answer their phones and will just pick up the phone and cancel it. I'm thoroughly disgusted with this branch.
Thank you for the opportunity to share that as a consequence of the miserable customer service response from BOFA today, June 3rd 2021 I closed the BOFA credit card account I opened in 1997. The check I sent in to cover the total monthly balance was off by $1.90; it was a transposition. The most recent Bank of America statement contained the charge of $23.40 for the gap of $1.90. Alison have over 6 employees running the bank with only one banker asking to set appointments only and will not be available until 11 from opening taking in other walk ins to open accounts but not help existing account holders the store manager said she has a meeting to attend and can not help us either so there is 6 employees not doing nothing and Allison in a conference call meeting and no one to help the 4 other in the lobby waiting
The absolute worst customer service experience ever! My account was closed on April 30th With NO REASON as to why, and they would not give me a reason when I called. The day my account was closed was the date I got my paycheck deposited into that account. I called several times with outrageous wait times. They then told me there was no way to go to a branch to get my funds. I had to wait on an "official closing date" of my account before they could tell me a date a check would be sent. tried to redeem cash back rewards points at the hemet location and over the phone talked to 6 different people 4 of which stated they were supervisers but just got constant run around having to explain the situation 6 different times is ridiculous trust me people go to another bank,this is not the first time i have had a problem with Bank of America Corporate people who choose to put there money in your establishment/federal business is not ok how they treat you.

Even though my account is handled by this BOA location at Wilmington, DE, from my experience with the whole institution, they are the WORST financial institution out there. Unfortunately I started with their bank for checking and savings years ago. When I purchased my home, my loan was through them. They say they value you as a customer but they do not. They treat you as a number and nothing more. Had one simple ask for a one time exception being that I was a customer for nearly 20 years and they weren't able to accommodate that. Unfortunate that I will begin banking with another banking institution because of this.
This is a complaint to Bank of America online/phone representative. I was a victim of credit card fraud. After talking to numerous representative and losing several months of so called "investigation", I find out they did not do much investigating at all. The claimed that they had proof that I used the card but when I requested for the proof they would not provide.
