I've had a horrible experience with Bank of America . It is not because the bank is a bad place to do banking . It is because this bank has allowed criminals to work their and scam people like me who bank at B of A . They have many people in the branch at Woodland , California who are participating in a scam operation , Annabelle , the assistant manage , another man who works at the front with dark hair and glasses . I would like to file a formal complaint against the manager at the 4012 Se 82nd Ave Portland, OR 97266. Did not catch her name, but she was white and blonde. I came in to get something notarized and she began treating me like I was some sort of criminal. I did not know which kind of notary that I needed and she just went off! Bank of America is a scam, they overcharge their customer nsf fees when they shouldn't be charged the fee. When I checked my online app, it stated I had more than enough funds in my account than I even added funds in my account but they still charged me a nsf fee I called than them to try and get them to refund the fees but they stated they can't do even though my account had a positive balance. Terrible customer service, took my credit card payment out twice and won't refund me the money. I had to file many claims that kept getting denied all because they had a billing error on Good Friday. As soon as I get my refund I will be closing out my credit card. Disgusted by the time and energy I have had to spend to get back money I never authorized them to ever even take.

In less than 24hrs Bank of America decided to close my credit card even though I have had a $0 balance for over a year, and have been in good standing for more than 5+ years. Due to delayed or late navient school loan payments they decided I was detected as a risk from my credit report. Please tell me how you can be a risk on a $0 balance credit card for more than a year and I have only 1 credit card with a balance less than $3k and an almost paid of car with some medical payments. My issue began March 3rd, 2021. I made a reasonably high dollar purchase online using my California EDD unemployment prepaid debit card : issued by Bank of America. This raised a security flag & temp locked my card. This is common & so I called in to verify the charge and unlock my card. Terrible bank to work with. Had a charge I didn't authorize and disputed it. Their "investigators" closed it without paying me back saying I didn't give them information they requested. Recalled them explained to one guy who had common sense he understood reopened it and the same result from their "investigators". Next problem is they refunded some fees and then months later without saying anything rebill for the fees they refunded with no notice or explanation. I opened an account online late last week in preparation for my out of state move this weekend and almost immediately lost access to that account through the app. That in itself was very frustrating but today I get a letter telling me they decided to close my BRAND NEW account and to not write any more checks and to make sure there is enough money in my account to keep it from being overdrawn? I used my Bank of America credit card to buy a ticket to India via Singapore airlines for last year. When Covid hit us, Singapore airlines canceled my ticket and didn't provide a refund. I opened a dispute claim with BOA in Dec 2020. Every time I called BOA, I'd either experience long wait time and/or representative would hang up on me.
