BEWARE OF BANFIELD! I have had wellness plans on three German Shepherds at our Banfield in North Florida for several years. Initially I was very pleased with the hospital and its staff. However, after taking 5-year old ******(white German Shepherd) in with a urinary problem that I thought was serious enough to use "drop-off" because they could not give me an urgent appointment, I have lost trust in Banfield. PUPPY WARNING: When coming to this vet with a newly acquired puppy, they will try to sell you on their puppy packages. They sound great, right? Vaccinations covered, neuter covered, microchip covered, even a wisdom panel! Emergency? Don't worry you get first priority. Upset puppy tummy? Not a problem you get 2 stoll samples a year free off charge. All for about $65/month, awesome!! WRONG. DO NOT EVER GO TO BANFIELD!! The contract does not end when your pet passes away. We will be paying over $500 this year for imaginary vet care for a dead dog. Please go ANYWHERE else.

We took our new puppy to this Banfield twice for full checkups, after 2 bad customer service visits we then took her down the street to Forest Creek Animal Hospital within a few weeks of the last Banfield visit. Forest Creek immediately detected a loud murmur and recommended she get an echocardiogram done rapidly, we got a second opinion and they also detected the loud murmur and said it was severe and had been there from birth. I took my elderly dog in for check ups and they signed me up for the wellness plan. This was during covid so I was given no documents to sign, just a digital pad with no papers to go with it. I assumed it would be a good deal. 1 month later and my 13 year old best friend is gone because of this place. They sold me a packet of lies stating he is in great health for his age. We were abandoned by our. Eat at Banfield called for same day appointment unable to bet in. I therefore went to a very compassionate vet paid hundreds of dollars and had to put my dog to sleep. Worst day ever. Now Banfield is sending me to collections for not paying money fees. Are you kidding me I had paid for 14 years and you abandoned my dog on most needed day. I unfortunately had just signed up my other dog before this. I wouldn’t ever set foot in their facility again. Completely unethical to deny medical services.

I would prefer giving this Pet Hospital a 0 review. I brought my Bichon to Banfield in Edison. My dog was in extensive pain and dragging his back legs. Dr. Gurkaranveer Singh told me my dog had arthritis and prescribed arthritis medication. My dog got progressive worse and showed not one sign of relief. After speaking to many local vets they said my dog did not have arthritis and to see a veterinary neurologist. If there's a choice of no star at all, I'll choose that one instead of 1. I have horrible experience at the Banfield chain hospital: I enrolled their annual service plan which include the spay, I arranged a spay surgery for my dog at the beginning of May, Just one day before the surgery, the hospital called me and tell me they'll cancel the surgery because the doctor is leaving. I wish I could leave negative stars because this place is horrible. I will never take my dog again and I wouldn't advise anyone to ever consider taking their pet here. They pressured me in to a rabies vaccine even though me and her regular vet already decided she was so old that she didn't need vaccines anymore. I just took her there for routine blood work so I could ensure her seizures weren't being caused by liver or kidney failure.
