They charged me several times after I told them I didn't want the plan. Got someone today that said I've canceled it but I can't refund you any of the money. They stole money out of my account

Banfield is not concerned with alleviating my dog's pain, but rather charging for blood work and and exam. It is unfortunate for everyone involved. I highly recommend you seek another option before you get duped.

This place is a Pet's worst nightmare. I purchased a plan 3 years ago over the phone. when my dog got sick there were no appointments and I was told to take her to the animal hospital. When asked what am I spending $40 a month for? I was told that was for her shots. $480 a year for shots. when I tried to cancel I was told I couldn't because my dog had her shots for the year. Paid over 400 dollars (with my wellness plan) to have my **** year old dog euthanized, then was told I will just have to keep paying 65 dollars a month until the year is up. Just what any pet owner needs, a monthly reminder/auto payment for your pet that is gone. It's difficult enough to get an appointment and they're telling me my 2 visits this year normally cost 800 dollars whereas one was a yearly check up covered in the plan, and the other was a nothing appointment. We've had ok doctors at Banfield. From time to time they've had a really good vet but they don't stay long. We LOVED the vet who'd been taking care of her, but she left six months ago. .. My dog got sick in August. Very sick. I have an exam visit and I made an appointment for a dental cleaning four months in advance that was already overdue . They call two weeks before to cancel and cant get my dog in for another two months. SO I get an appointment in a different banfield 20 miles away for the next month. They want me to come for an exam before. Again. And it can take up to two hours. For a look over. Banfield uses terror tactics to get you to agree to their Wellness Plan. I had taken my golden retriever in because I suspected that she might have Lyme disease. I was given an estimate of $1666.41 to $2083.01 and told that my dog was very sick, that she had a significant heart condition. But if I signed up for the plan I could save myself a lot of money and get her the treatment she needed. After 20 minutes of discussion, I signed up for the plan. The Vet Tech pushes client very, very hard to buy a monthly subscription. Comes out with a bunch of numbers and services mixed with real vaccinations.But they do not share yearly cost. The real cost of the subscription model is $750. However they will repeatedly site a monthly cost of $39.95. They also of course have your beloved pet in between you. Its very, very high pressure.

I truly would not recommend this company to my absolute worst enemy. Every single time I needed an appointment for one of my pets, the hospital either did not answer the phone, did not call me back from leaving a message, said they could not accept appointments for several weeks, or were closed 4 out of 7 days a week.
