Banfield is entirely predatory. Please do not buy the wellness plan if you can avoid it. They continually deny my cat service who has an active wellness plan that has been paid up to date and never missed a payment due to a "collections" flag on my account. This collections flag is due to an animal that was not mine, nor did I pay for it. I didn't even find out they were attached to my account at all until I was denied service at the vet when I tried to take my cat in. Buyer beware! When I signed up for Banfields Wellness plan I asked the question, What if the plan isnt for me or my pet passes away, can I cancel the plan at any time? The response was, Yes. What they should have informed you is, Yes, BUT if the total undiscounted RETAIL value of plan services/products already provided during the plan year exceeds the sum of monthly installments collected for that plan year member shall be obligated to pay full RETAIL fees for all services. To start I wish there was a no star option! Worst customer service I ever encountered. First off the location in ******* closed and no one reached out to advise the location closed and we would now have to go to another location. My cat is in the wellness plan and was due for his yearly shots in April and I was never notified when I reached out today to inquire when his appointment was I was told it was past due in April and again no one reached out to advise. I took my elder cat to Banfield for a quick foot injury... they ended up pumping him with vaccines and shots when at his age was risky. I took him back TWICE after to follow up on his diminishing health. They went on to give him MORE antibiotics and steroids. His health diminished EVEN MORE.... 2mths later, I just put my cat to sleep after finding out he has a high risk diabetes affliction. I wish i could *** Banfield

I have pet insurance for one of my dogs with Banfield, my dog passed away a couple of weeks ago, I called Banfield to cancel the insurance since my dog will no longer need it, they gave me the **** number to cancel, I called this number and I cannot cancel my insurance, have to continue to pay until expiration, which thank God is in November and not like five months down the line. I was give the wrong meds from the ************* Banfield location for my cat. I was supposed to receive felimazole for hypothyroidism and was instead given enalapril which is for a heart condition that the staff labeled as felimazole and sold to me. I gave my cat this medication for almost two weeks. I found out this was the incorrect medication on his next vet visit. I asked for his visit to be refunded. The manager was not there so the person at the desk called them. They only offered to credit a portion of the visit. The... read more

Are you looking to get yourself taken advantage of and being involved in a scam? If so, Banfield Pet Hospital is the place you're looking for.I've been a loyal customer for 5 years. They convinced me to join their Wellness Plan. According to them I would save A LOT of money on my visits, dewormers, dental cleaning, vaccines... All I would have to do would be pay $45 dollars every month and I would get those discounts on my visits. Sounds great, right? Except that they don't let you know when your plan is about to expire. DO NOT USE BANFIELD IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE IN A CONTRACT! You pay a monthly fee for you wellness plan. But they pride themselves for if you need a visit in between your two visits a year you can get in and don't have to pay the office visit and only pay for test/prescriptions. IF THEY HAD APPOINTMNETS AVALIABLE. They are called Banfield Pet Hospital. You would think having "Hospital" that they would at least have a handful of appointments available/blocked out for same day emergencies/unplanned issues that come up. My dog ... read more
