I am 69 years old and my daughter thought it was a good idea to give me to ********. She took me to Banfield in ************** to get them signed up for care. An employee took me in a room and asked me if i wanted flea control, what kind of care etc. After I told her all i wanted in the plan I was sent to a register where an employee behind the counter had me initial/sign things and give her my credit card information.I had no idea what i was signing a contract nor what was in that contract. Cannot emphasize enough what has been echoed below. I have paid faithfully into the Banfield Premium Wellness Plan for multiple animals over the past 12 years never had an outstanding balance.Unfortunately, one of our dogs had some chronic medical issues which required specialist care not covered in the plan, so for much of his last year or two we primarily used the specialists but kept his plan active still just in case since he had had it since he was 4 months old.Well, unfortunately, he passed suddenly from a stroke a mon... read more
Money scamming. **************** refused to cancel my account and said I had to pay for another year when my dog didnt even use all the services in the plan. She was rude and talking over me the entire time. Would not get a supervisor on the phone either.

Worst ever! My senior dogs plan just renewed. We had to put her down (done at the Banfield office) and they tell me I have to continue to pay for another 10 months or pay the year in full. I am HEARTBROKEN over losing my dog after 15 years and now have to see that charge every month. They won't even let me transfer it to another pet. Completely heartless company. They should be ashamed.

The staff is great, but their corporate is awful! They signed me up with the puppy plan and I asked for them to make sure it doesn't auto renew. Low and behold it auto renewed a year later. They even told me that I would have to pay for the 11 months left to cancel. ************** Do not use. Tell your friends, your family, strangers, and anyone else that will listen to stay away from this thieving backhanded company.

We are currently a member of this plan, and will not renew. What a joke. We initially took our dog there to look at his eye. He has a tiny tumor on the outside of his eye that we would like to have removed. We got the plan did all the shots, and then took him in for teeth cleaning. They did give him ointment for his eye, which did nothing. so now they say we will have to pay the full price to have the tumor removed or we can renew our membership and on his next teeth cleaning they will do the removal of the tumor.
