First, I have no issue with the vet and staff at the Petco/Banfield on ******************* in *********. However, Banfield itself as a company is horrid. DO NOT get caught in their pet insurance plan scheme. Its absolutely ridiculous. I was under the impression I could cancel anytime and not be charged for the remainder of the year, but I would have to pay for the services that I used if I did choose to cancel before the year was up. Banfield is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. The vets and the techs are incompetent and their receptionists are no better. They are incredibly difficult to deal with and are extremely rude. Banfield cares about one thing and that's money and it's very clear by the way they do not give a s*** about you or your pet. Our dog had started limping and we took him into a location, they did bloodwork and x-rays. I had to update my little guys rabies shot and unfortunately I chose Banfield at Petsmart! Worst mistake ever! In ****** you can not make an appointment to have your animal looked at But, Banfield will put you on a waitlist! WOW! I went to petsmart to buy my dog food ID prescription diet, they were out. I tried asking someone at Banfield, her response was ask someone at petsmart they do the ordering! Banfield is a literal scam for pet owners and should never be used at all. For starters, they tell you its cheap but you can actual buy pet insurance with that $40 a month c*** Petco literally has a Thrive shop and vitalcare program. Thrive is only $10 a month for a MINIMUM of 6 months and you can cancel any time after that. Unlike banfield where they charger you over $300 for the first few things and even and it doesnt even cover all of their vaccinations. I got my dogs vaccinations for cheap and they even do exams. I have been trying for days to get my sick dog to be seen.They say quality, strong commitment to care for the pet is their highest priority. I sure havent seen it. I had her in the PetHotel for an extended weekend. I picked her up on a Monday evening and Tuesday mid-morning she had bad diarrhea. It got worse and I called Banfield, cant get me in. Went another day, called Banfield back, nope cant see her. Went another day and the same thing.I havent just called one location, Ive called all close to me. This is so unacceptable... read more

We signed up for a one year plan for our cat, but Banfield decided to renew it for two additional years and has been charging us for a service that we have not been using. Do not recommend this place. When we were taking our cat there, they had many scheduling issues which wasted a lot of my time and PTO at work.

Banfield Hospital takes advantage of elderly people. My mother went into Petsmart to get her dog a simple grooming. Banfield ended up putting her little dog under to do the grooming and then charged my mother for a dental cleaning and made her sign up for a contract to pay off costs totaling around $1,000. I own two dogs and I never heard anything like this. They must have quotas on selling these contracts to unexpecting victims. This is overkill when it comes to grooming.

I have the wellness plan. For the last year, I have been unable to get a reasonably scheduled appointment with ANY Banfield in my state (Georgia), no really, I searched for appointments at every Banfield and appointments are out for months. So unable to get my pet seen for services that Ive already paid for (vaccinations, refill on prescriptions such as flea/tick/heart worm pills).
