I'm from Indiana and picked this hospital before reading any reviews. BVH brought my 13 year old Miniature Pincher in for emergency surgery. It weren't for the caring and compassion of the staff of Bakersfield Veterinary hospital my Princess wouldn't be here today!
Thank you to all the staff that helped me the night I had to make the toughest decision ever when I had to put down my big goofy Bruno. Everyone was super patient and very caring. Thank you the sweet card you send in the mail. I came in today and picked up Bruno's ashes and the sweetest paw print. Thank you again for all your sweet words and compassion.
I had to put my second dog Jack down yesterday. I remembered how compassionate they were at the passing of my first dog Sam. I'm very glad I went back, and I won't go anywhere else. They gave us all the time we needed to let him go, and believe me, he was one of the most painful. His whole family was there. We loved him so very much.
The fact that you turn away people because they can't afforded treatment broke my heart! I was studying to be a vet tech, but sadly I made a decision that I will no longer want to work in that field solely based on my experience here. I don't think I would have the heart to turn people away because they can't afford treatment for there fur baby, and watch a suffering animal go home, just like mine got sent.
I have been a client for over 20 years. There is a reason for that! Love All the Drs and staff. Great care and understanding. I have a lot of animals, so I am here more than I care to be ;)

My fur baby was in good hands. She is feeling much better.
