Axos bank made my life a complete nightmare overnight. I opened a Rewards Checking account and Savings account because the benefits seemed promising. After submitting my application, I received notice that my account was under review and that I would receive an email when my account was opened. The following day, I got an email that my account was cleared and open, and that I could now fund the account. Refused payment when I used my debit card several times. I had funds. They claimed they deny some small businesses. One was a multi state grocery chain.Just had 2 payments bounce. It was supposed to go to savings, then overdraft.I was told that because I used my debit card number, using that or their **** pay system, overdraft protection doesn't apply.I asked for documentation. I received a **** form that has all my information on it like a normal tax paper. And I have no clue what account it is and I don't ever remember opening it. I called to ask about it and they won't give me any information unless I send in a pic of me and my driver lic. I will not do that at all! These people won't help you at all!! After reading others complaints this place should be shut down..

They have been the worst bank I have worked with ever! This has been a nightmare that my husband and I have been going through for the last two years. How does this bank stay in business? Their loan department servicing does not exist. They just answer the phone and "apologize for the inconvenience". Our loan servicing was sold to them so we are there by default. I can't wait to get rid of them by refinancing. Don't do business with them if you're not looking to lose your sanity!

I have a large CD coming due; the last maturing CD of several, and I want to get my money out of AXOS and transferred to my Chase external account. Their website is unbelievably difficult to use and after four attempts following their very own instructions regarding how to submit a wire transfer request, It still has not gone through. 2/10/2022 Hard to believe what happened to me. Yesterday I was online searching for a good recommended bank which could give me a break for foreign ATM fees and foreign transaction fees. I contacted Axos bank from ********* on the phone which approved me instantly. I opened a checking account on the phone with **** and made him repeat the digits multiple times and also repeated what I heard. Applied for a loan with Axos Bank. I was approved for more than I applied for. Wonderful right! Wrong! They asked for my bank information to "test" the account. Once the deposit was made they asked that I take the money out and buy Bitcoins or a gift card for them. Not thinking straight I got the gift card. Later on they made another deposit and asked me to do it again. Both deposits were bad checks. My bank caught it and froze my account plus I am responsible for any money withdrawn. If all you do is receive regular pays, deposit checks and spending using a debit card, Axos might be okay for you.If you ever have to send a wire transfer, receive a wire transfer from overseas or do anything a little out of the ordinary, they are absolutely useless. Terrible customer service team that doesn't have the authority to fix anything. Terrible banking practices, like using an intermediary to receive funds from overseas, and then providing conflicting instructions to give my bank overseas. Just a really poorly run ... read more

Do NOT open an account! I stupidly did and regretted it in less than 24 hours. After trying to fund my account they refused to allow my simple transfer. I then did a P2P deposit which is what they mention you can do (like at every other up-to-par bank.) To make a VERY long story short, my transfer of $12,000 was misplaced and when I called the only answer off the usual script responses didn't answer the question.
