Very very difficult to get your money transferred out of their 403B and seems Equitable makes it far more difficult than necessary. As a former financial advisor, I've not seen a simple transfer be so difficult and time consuming.

i've been trying since June 28 2022 to cancel my contract with Equitable life. I mailed them the form. Was told it was rejected because a section was missing. I got a new 12 page form. Filled it out for a Full Surrender of my contract. Faxed it to them on 07/19/2022 . Called on 07/26/2022. Was told they only received on page of 5 pages. So ******** them the form again. Horrible. Try to close out an account an after two an a half weeks still waiting on my funds. Story after story ( they weren't even good ones) on why the process failed. Runaround Champions.

I have been trying to put in a 403b roll over request out of Equitable and into my ******** account. It honest seems like they are trying to make it so **** difficult to get my money out so I will just give up. It has been over 6 months and there either will request a new document that they never mentioned they needed before, or a new contract number or they "lost" something mailed in. Worst customer service ever. Completely useless once you become a client. Trying to do a rollover to buy back pension time with the *******************. All other advisors take care of it by contacting the state pension administrator and getting everything in order. Not AXA. Even state administrator shocked I left to do all the work as a client. Then AXA only accepts paperwork by fax and no matter how many times you send it and get a confirmation they claim not received. Still, they won't give you any other option. Definitel... read more

Put in a 401k loan request almost ************************************************** the mail. Called Equitable to put a stop payment on the check. Now I have to pay for ***** overnight. Horrible company to deal with. If I could give negative stars I would. They do not deserve even 1 star.

Hung up on repeatedly. Lied to repeatedly. Only want your money, never intend to pay the deceased claim. Dont care what happens to their customers as long as they get their money!!!!Cant understand the people who answer the phone. I paid this company for over 30 years, when I need them they just lie and hang up.Policy was always paid. I was told that I needed to change policies, so then the price went up four times! Horrible business practice. Been trying to get my money transferred for two years and they are making it impossible sending me outdated forms and giving me incorrect information. There is a new rule every time I send a form back so I have to keep filling out different forms. Do not invest your money with them.
