An absolute scam ! I have been trying to get my money out for 4 years. They are shady and make up excuses every day as to why no one has gotten back to me.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE- DO NOT BELIEVE YOUR ADVISOR THAT WANTS THE ***** COMMISSION- THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ATROCIOUS. I USED TO WORK FOR EQUITABLE. IT IS BUILT IN FOR THEM TO DRAG YOU AROUND THE **** TO GET YOUR MONEY OUT. A CLIENT HAD HER "TRUSTED" EQUITABLE AGENT SAY "YOUR NEW ADVISOR SHOULD BE ABLE TO HELP YOU GET YOUR MONEY OUT". FRAUDULENT. THE **** THEY LET THESE PEOPLE IN SCHOOLS SHOULD BE A CRIME. It truly upsets me thinking that someone's mother or daughter could be doing business with this company and be getting r... read more

I put $75,000 into Equitable and right away started losing money. I lost up to $6000 before I called my, financial advisor I told him that I was unable to see why I am losing money on their website and asked him to send me a financial report. He said he would but I didnt hear anything for four days so I decided to email him and ask if hes going to send me the financial report and now his email address is not valid, luckily I have a real Financial adviser now that will help me transfer whats left of my money out of this fraud... read more

I am a new hire in a school district. I received an email from Equitable which was very misleading and made me feel as if "I had to" partake in their services in order to establish my retirement fund/pension through the state. They were pressuring me to roll over a 401K from a previous employer into a 403B account with them. They used very intimidating and "scare tactics" that made me nervous and uncomfortable. Luckily, I called and spoke with my current financial advisor (NOT affiliated with Equitable OR the school district... read more

I too have never felt I needed to write a review on a company until now. You would think with all of the prior reviews that they would be better but they are not! Agree with everyone elses experiences of trying to rollover a 403b. You have 90 days from the day the paperwork begins to complete the process. I began in January. In March 1 week from the 90 days I was told my paperwork was incomplete. When I complied and re-submitted what that said they needed (which I was told was BS and not needed) I was told it was now too lat... read more

Scam Artist!!!They hold your money hostage! I could have never guessed company could legally get away with this. They do not make transfer form available online and when I requested one from customer service, they transferred me to a dead line that hung up on me. It is very easy to despot your money through pay check deduction, but impossible to get your money out. I would not recommend them to anyone and they should be put out of business.

I would pick -10 stars if I could. I have been trying to streamline my finances so I asked to have a check sent to the new company. This in itself was a huge hassle. Each time I call, I am on hold at least for an hour (minimally). They supposedly finally sent a check by regular mail. This check was lost for about 3 weeks. I had called several times to see what to do next. I was told I would need to sign an affidavit for a new check. Called them again today, miraculously, the check was returned to them. I was told previously ... read more

This firm is nothing but a bunch of thieves. They do not tell you the truth about the "investments" they sell and set themselves up as financial advisors. They are nothing but insurance salesmen. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do yourself a favor and RUN AWAY from this company and its so-caller financial advisors....they re nothing but a bunch of crooks!!! I do not now how they live with themselves!!!If I could have given them less than a zero, I would have!
