I booked a 1 day round trip rental through Avis Baltimore-Washington International Airport. However, when I called this morning to get my drop off location switched to a location closer to where I am staying I received the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The guy I was on the phone with had an attitude with me because he was having trouble looking up my information. Customer service here is subpar. No clear information on how they charge you. Tell you you're being charged one price. Then only hold so much of that price, until they charge you a full price that you agreed to. All while holding funds after being paid in full and you can never get any help on the phone. I was given a vehicle that desperately needed tires, to the point when I went to return it, one went completely flat from dry rot and wear and tear. I will never rent with avis again. This is the third time I have rented with Avis, that had incorrect charges. This occurred at three different locations, so I have to think that there must be some corporate endorsement of the practice. The first two times, after receiving the receipt via email several days later, I noted that I was charged for gas, even though I returned the car with a full tank. i don't recall the first location; the second time was at Las Vegas Airport. I'm writing to dispute a charge that was wrongfully charged to our credit card. My husband and I rented a red KIA out of Barnstable Airport, from June 1-15. We made our reservation in Europe (The Netherlands) via ******** Cars. Car was paid upfront for 583 USD. Avis customer service has been absolutely terrible. We rented a car only to have it break down prior to our destination. We were told that we would be compensated for us being stranded at Hoover dam. In 119° weather. I have talked to several people customer service and no one seems to know what they are doing. All I want is what was promised to me. I would not recommend Avis to anyone. It just stinks that I travel for work and I use Avis exclusively and I have been treated absolutely terribly.

Avis CS, We are very unhappy with the service at the Avis Savannah,GA Airport location. We had a prepaid reservation on *********** made in March of 2021 for $770.40 and due to the extremely poor customer service we received and the 2 plus hours we waited to find out that there were no cars available that we had prepaid for, we cancelled our reservation. I have booked a car at a price of $ 1769.70 booking # ************** Upon receipt of the car, the employee confirmed this amount as final. I did not agree or choose any additional options. Further, a few days later I was stopped by the police and reprimanded about the expired registration of numbers and technical inspection. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM Rented a car from Avis online for $512. When I get to the airport counter at Hilton Head the bill shows $1462. I try to show the agent my confirmation email with the price I reserved but was rudely told I only read what the computer prints out. I ask to speak to a supervisor but none is available.
