Prepaid for a rental car and my location was closed. Called customer service and they told me they would refund my money. Immediately got an email that would refund in 3-5 business days but charged me a 150.00 for cancellation that I had no control over. Horrible customer service. My self and my company will never use again.

I wish I could leave a 0 stars. This company never has the car you see in the website!!! also customer service at Miami intl. airport is the worst! I had to wait 3 hours for a car that I didn't even want to! Also, the lady at the counter told me that they will refund the deposit but wasn't true! Worst rental car experience EVER!!!! You charged my card $2,021.97 for a rental car from 9/01/21 to 09/03/21! Charge should be $353.01 per our agreement! Your customer service rep stated that there is no record of the car return on 09/03. I returned the car to Avis at Tyson McGhee airport in Alcoa, TN on 09/03 per my rental agreement and the lady working stated your system was down and could not issue a receipt at the time. Really wish I could leave 0 stars. I recently dropped off my rental car at the Sacramento Airport Avis office and left an important company key on the keychain. I get it, that's on me. I fill out a lost and found form online, but the L&F page hasn't been updated in over a week. Unable to wait ~30 days for a resolution, I tried to call the Sacramento office and get sent to a foreign call center that offers no help other than telling me to dial the same number that connected me to said call center in the first place. If I could give this place negative stars I would. First off it doesn't say anywhere on their website that you must be over 25 to rent without a credit card. I reserved a rental and my card was charged $200 for the reservation. I go to the Orlando Florida airport to pickup the car only to be told by a rude employee I can't get the car and to just dispute the charge and ask for a refund. Booked a reservation for the weekend. Wasn't notified until I arrived at Avis that there wasn't any vehicles available. In attempt to get my refund there is a 5-10 day reimbursement period. It's now has been 15days with no follow up. Each time i contact customer service, i was told to wait an additional 2-5 days. Once again, this was 15 business days ago. No refund has been granted. I never received a car yet my funds are being held.

Price gouging at it's height!!!!!!! Trying to get a rental after the car was totaled in the flood on Thursday. Avis in Hicksville has economy cars. At 8am, today I was quoted 61.52 per day. At about 9:30 am the quote was about 72.00 a day. Supervisor hung up on me. At 10:45 the price was up to about 82 a day. A new supervisor said the prices can change at any second depending on availability and was also rude. The insurance company will only cover $50 a day. Overall a good experience: I had trouble checking in, long lines and few customer service representatives. However, Antonio from the Boston Logan International Airport went above and beyond the call of duty to help me check out. I will continue using Avis just because of him. Avis tried to charge an extra $800 for "dropping off" the car an hour and a half early and 3 miles away from the airport where I picked it up. One of their employees must have been following me, as the address given as the drop-off location was somewhat near where I was parked at that time. It took way too much effort to get the charges reversed, which delayed billing my client by a week. Also never got a corrected invoice.
