State Farm is terrible. They did not coordinate with the other insurance to make sure payment was made when repairs did not start for over 5 months. No response from the claim teams, no help from the Broker. I would not recommend these guys, especially the broker listed below Your State Farm Agent Randy Rhodes ******** ********

Late September we had basement sewer backup due to heavy rains. I was covered, ***** *** ** ********* handled clean up, EXCELLANT job. They sent me the bill, app $2350 which I gave to my Agent in Romulus, Mi. He then submitted to claims. End of Oct, I received a check for app $2850. I took the check to my agent, he told me it was mine to meet my coverage ammt. After 1 week, I cashed the check. About a week later I received a bill from ***** *** wanting payment. Another unsatisfied customer. These are not the kind of neighbors you like. Horrible customer service when you are most vulnerable after an auto-accident that they will get full subrogation from the responsible insurance company - The relationship is fully transactional for State Farm - if it does not make money for them, then its not the kind of relationship they want. Go another direction with your insurance services.

State Farm Insurance is among the auto insurers that should consider a post-phone call "lock in" rate for premium. On November 3, 2023, I called a local SF Agent and received a 6 month premium quote. I called back 3 business days later, and was told the premium quote was correct. Five minutes later I received a call from the agent to indicate that the auto premium would be about $35 more. I called for a quote on a new policy. They couldn’t provide the policy but took the $930 out of my checking account. Now they are saying I have to wait 30 days for a refund on my money that they took by mistake !!!

I had a flood due to cold weather in my basement. Serve pro came out and did a complete removal of everything to dry it out period They said they knew what state farm would pay for. But it seems they were wrong. State farms not wanting to pay me for what I had. And the adjuster supervisor will not return my call. I've talked to my agent hopefully he can do something for me. I've been with state farm over fifty years. Never had any other insurance company in my life and I am so Displeased.

Terrible company for home insurance. We've paid over $11,000 for insurance to them over the last 5 years. They dumped us after filing a claim for a leaky water pipe. They only paid us out $1,120 and dropped us right after that. So we've paid you over $11,000 and you dropped us because you had to pay us out $1,120. You still made out good from us. It's funny they say like a good neighbor State Farm is there, but they drop you after filing a claim that they have to pay out. I make sure to tell everyone about them now.

I submitted my claim&selected one of their preferred collision vendors to make repairs needed for the vehicle. Collision company gave an estimate of over 5K which included repairs that were not needed along with cosmetic repairs.They told me a total loss and gather my belongings from vehicle. I didn’t agree with their estimate&the repairs they wanted to do.Collision company wanted to repair cosmetic stuff that was already on the car prior to minor car accident.I requested a 2nd opinion and located a reputable local company. ... read more
