ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS – I have curly hair and have had many bad hair experiences which has put the fear of the shear in me. After my wonderful experience at APS I can finally relax b/c it was nothing short of AB-FAB!!! Peter is a fantastic hair colorist – I came to write a fantastic review of Peter only to find someone else had said it all. It's true, if you can get in on the apprentice program and are interested in hair color, ask for Peter. My hair looks great and whatever product they used is the least harsh dye I've ever used. Don't know if I'd pay full price here, but for Peter I just may.
Best Color Ever.... – I went through the apprentice program and was just so impressed. I had Peter. He's completely amazing. I look so much younger. It's like I got a face lift minus the stretched out look...If you can try to get Peter - it's the best deal you'll ever have since the guy has tons of experience/talent (I think he said 20 years? - plus he owned his own Salon) but he's new to New York & Antonio Prieto hence the apprentice program... Pretentious – Did you look at the rates for this place? I'm so sick of these salon owners thinking they should charge this much for haircuts. I know New York should be a little more expensive, but it's a haircut, not investment banking. Get over yourselves.
Extentions to die for!! – Jasellyne is the best!! She takes so pride in her work. the best hair stylist in nyc – Jassellynne is fantastic! She's given me the best hair cuts I've ever had, bar none! She listens carefully, has great suggestions, is warm and friendly to talk to, and most importantly, is a consummate hair stylist. She takes my ideas and makes them better. I'm always super happy with my hair and regularly get tons of compliments. I can't recommentd her enough.
Best Haircut Ever!!! – Jassellynne Brown is my "go to" girl. She is, hands down, the best stylist I've ever had. I always leave with a cut that looks great - not just for the first five minutes after I leave the salon -but for weeks. She has a terrific eye, gets her cut lines straight and is absolutely lovely to spend time with. No pressure. No attitude. Loads of talent.
Thanks you Jas! – Having been told by a well reputed stylist that teach classes on blow-outs that my hair is the most difficult he has ever encountered, Jasellyne at AP Salon blew-out my hair with finesse and ease, making it smooth and stylish without any fly-aways. And the haircut was amazing too. I saw an old boyfriend afterwards who couldn't take his eyes off me. Eat your heart out boys!
worth the money! – i couldn't believe all the reviews that were up for Mike P, my hair color guy for years at Antonio Prieto... i actually left for a brief moment (a lapse of reasoning!) because the prices are a bit steep---but you really get what you pay for. i have not found anyone who does haircolor like him. it's always beautiful and everyone is so friendly. book up in advance, it can be tricky getting appts!
