Worst experience of my life – I had one their "model cuts," and left in tears. I just can't believe they are letting people this bad cut hair at this salon. The stylist obviously just graduated from beauty school, and now she's cutting my hair at Antonio Prieto?! I guess I had expected much higher standards. Apprectice program is the BEST!!! – I went to the AP apprentice program and it is THE best! For $30.00 you get awesome service, a great consultation (that takes in to account what you want and suggestions from the stylist), and fabulous hair. I came in with hair that was all one length below my shoulders and Mariel gave me the best layered bob ever! It looked exactly like the picture I brought in. Extraordinary Value! – This salon is one of NYC's gems -- my introduction was through their apprentice program -- wow! What an amazing way to get high-end hair care at reasonable prices! Timothy, my stylist, is nothing less than an artist with his scissors. He, and all of the AP staff are a pleasure to deal with!
I love this salon! – After going to many- extremely pricey- salons in NYC, I found the Prieto Salon. The staff is wonderful, the atmosphere is comfortable without any attitude. I went in with damaged hair from years of coloring, and after following their treatment recomendations my hair feels like kitten hair now. Amazing. uneven, too short and just plain awful – i went here to get a haircut for the holiday season. i had the worst haircut of my life here. i went into the salon with long hair below my shoulders. i now have hair cut at all different lengths and angles from my cheek bones to just below my shoulders, none of the layers are even, they stick out at odd angles and the cut took away all my fullness in the back and sides and left the top too thick and full, it is just awful. i haven't been out socializing for one week now becuase it is... read more
Simply the BEST! – I've tried several hair salons in the past (Bumble & Bumble, Prive, Simon) and my haircut by Antonio is by far the best! I was frustrated with my last hair cut and thankfully decided to seek Antonio's help. Antonio gave me a very flattering haircut -- he obviously knows how to get a hair style to flatter his client's features rather than simply giving a standard/generic cut. As I received so many compliments about my hair style, I know I will definitely be returning to Antonio for future hair cuts!
