We've been trying to buy the underground tank that came with the house from them and they refuse to sell it to us. We have to pay to dig it out instead. Their rates are so much higher than anyone else which is why they won't let us go. Ridiculous company to deal with. Called customer service multiple times and never got a call from a district manager who supposedly was going to work with us on selling the tank which was a lie.

We had Amerigas. Switched to natural gas because it’s so much less expensive. Called Amerigas for 4 (FOUR MONTHS) months trying to schedule a pick up for their tank. They made appointments twice to pick the tank up and never showed; never called. Finally we had to pay an outside service to get the tank out of our yard and deliver it back to Amerigas for us because we don’t want to be responsible for a tank we aren’t using and I can’t charge them rent for using my property as their storage facility. The absolute worst customer service/company I've ever dealt with! They double billed me for a single propane delivery five months ago. After several calls to customer service over the last five months and waiting for hours on hold, the problem still has not been rectified. Constant promises that a manager will call me back has not happened. Now there are late fees applied to a bill I do not owe! Also received a letter from a collection agency. This isn't complicated. Ordered gas 2/19 was told it was 7 to 10 days for delivery, was at 10 to 12% then called after 9 days was then told its 10 to 14 days for delivery so waited it came to the 14 day mark and was told they would call back after they could talk to the manager to see what to do about it because i wasnt even on the delivery list no one called back. If I could give this company no stars I would. Called and ordered 100 gallons one month ago. They delivered 280 gallons which resulted in astronomical bill. Called immediately to have the excess taken out of the tank and the bill adjusted. Was told it would be done within 10 days. One month later it has not been done. Now receiving bill due and I'm sure late charges will be assessed. Have called and been on hold for over 40 minutes several times only to be told that they would be out to correct the issue. Nothing! Amerigas is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I finally canceled service on January 19th and I'm still waiting to have my tank picked up and a refunded of the balance in my account. Every time I call I am on hold for 1 or 2 hours and then the customer service reps never seem to be able to solve the problem and the only way they can get ahold of their supervisors is by email so it's an endless cycle of nobody solving the problem. Their business model is based on long holds on the telephone, different answers from each person you talk to and not showing up for appointments. I called Amerigas to set up a site survey for a little Forest Service cabin on Mt Hood in Oregon. The first person I spoke with seemed very friendly, gave me lots of information, set up an site visit appointment for them to meet with my contractor, took his number and told me "you're all set". On Feb 17 2021, I placed an automated phone order for a propane MAX FILL (250+ gallons). My tank gauge indicated 30% remaining (AmeriGas suggested call for refill point). Their order confirmation number showed in my online account and would be delivered on or before Mar 3. My home area had experienced NO bad weather and the roads were/are clear and dry.
