Amerigas has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced!!! Would not recommend to my worst enemy!!!

Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with!! After multiple issues with getting my tank fixed and then filled I was billed for a different amount than I was quoted. When it came time to re-fill my tank I was told it would be a few days until they made it our but two weeks later I cancelled the re-fill because I ran out of gas!! I ended up going with a different propane company and was told the old tank would be picked up within 30days. 6 months later the tank is still sitting on my property so I decided to call and re... read more

After receiving less than acceptable service, I decided to cancel my account with Amerigas after 9 years. I was charged the annual $108.63. tank rental and requested it to be picked up. After 5 phone calls to a calling center overseas, I finally received a partial refund by check - 2 months later! 'Have been on the phone today more than 30 minutes each time (2 times) to get the balance owed me. No local office anymore. All calls to a local number go to overseas call center. If I could give negative 0 stars I would. Absolute WORST SERVICE in history out of any company I've dealt with and they don't give a sh!t!!! How are they still in business?! I'll be contacting the BBB after I submit this review as well. We just went 3 days w/ NO PROPANE in our 500 gal tank!!! We had NO HEAT, NO OVEN, NO STOVE in our home for 3 days it was absolutely freezing, how is this even effin legal?? They have us supposedly setup on a "forecast watch" w/ 'Auto delivery" ummmm were you not watching?? Couldn't get a hold... read more

ON 12-16-21 i paid $295.71 to have my tank filled before Christmas! i called the company on the 12-23-21 and was told my gas would be delivered by end of day not so!!i called them every day and got the same answer you will have your gas by end of day again not so!! i also told them that i had Pneumonia for the last 2 weeks and they said they would put me on priority delivery but they still did not show up!! i called back again and was put on Emergency status and still no gas!! no one could tell me why this was taking so long... read more

Scheduled an emergency fill with a rather nice guy on the phone. They assured us that the company was aware of the situation and we're top on the list.... 4 days later... No heat, no hot water, no stove, no oven and they still haven't showed. It's now in the single digits at night and freezing. We aren't expecting to get anything filled anytime soon and are looking to IMMEDIATELY switch providers. This is the experience as a first time customer.

Despicable company. Obtained a tank from a self-service kiosk at a Wawa. Second time I went to use it, I notice gas leaking from the valve when I opened the tank. Sent Amerigas an email immediately, and they then decided to phone me at 12:30 in the morning. After I hadn't answered, because I was sleeping, the responded to my initial email. Their response wasn't clear, so I've now sent 5 emails to them trying to get clarification, and they refuse to respond. HORRIBLE Company! You are not allowed to talk to anyone local. When you call you only get call centers. I've been told by the last person I talk to that they were in OH, but it took her several minutes to calculate my time zone of when she would call me back (I'm in Central and OH is in Eastern...not a hard calculation). I have called at least 5 times and EVERYONE has the same foreign accent. I am somehow on paperless billing which I don't want. If you don't send me a physical bill, you won't get paid. Worse service ever!!! We are twelve days without heat in December and still they “don’t have time” to come out. Rude customer reps! No after hours support. Worst experience ever.
