I am on automated delivery and I still have to update my tank levels in order to trigger a delivery. My tank has gotten to zero twice over the last 3 months due to their negligence in maintaining automatic delivery. My house relies on propane for heat. In the winter month, lack of timely delivery should be criminal. They closed their local office during Covid and now the only recourse is to call the national 800 number where they can do absolutely nothing for you. Amerigas is a joke, their customer service is a joke, their outlook for their customers is no where as it should be. I was told I was set up on a rotating fill. It has NOT been that cold of a winter and I had my tank filled the end of December. The app told me that I should be at 30% and I just knew that we were ok and that the truck should be delivering any day., WRONG...... 0% because the truck never came... Do not use this company! Horrible customer service! All calls are taken by people outside U.S. with very hard to understand accents! Plus, it was their fault my propane ran completely out and they waited over 30 hours before refilling the tank! They are too big and too callous! On February 22nd my house in Vermont was getting colder even though I was running the furnace. I checked the Amerigas online tank gauge and it said tank was at 57%. Amerigas has had 3 strikes with me in 6 months. I will be switching to a local gas company this summer. First my propane tank only runs my heater and nothing else. In a small country house. I was assured when my tank was delivered that it had 70% in it already. Which was enough to get through this winter for sure. I was also told my install would be no more than $150.00. 02/23/2022 Your employees shouldn’t be allowed to answer their phones until they are trained, some are highly unprofessional with a nasty attitude that has left me completely speechless. Your customer should always put the customer first, and they should always be treated politely. I am so very disappointed because I ask Echo (CSR) do she have someone over top of her like a supervisor and she told me no. So, if she wasn’t a supervisor so evidently, she is a CSR. Over 30 years my family has been a customer of AmeriGas.....Ordered gas at 35% on Jan 29th, Lie after lie every day we called w/ another lie , missed delivery, your on the que, wait your not on the que, we have you scheduled, wait your not on the schedule, you should have ordered when you were at 30%-40%....umm we did, each day I called I was put on hold sometimes for 20 minutes, hung up on numerous times when they clearly did not want to talk to me, back and forth with more lies told to us...had to go and purchase space hea... read more

Amerigas customer service is a joke. We have been a customer(Charlottesville, Virginia area)for 24 years so I guess loyalty means nothing. We have a set schedule to have propane delivered twice yearly. ( which is set by the company NOT us) It so happens that the next delivery was set for Feb. 24, 2022 but on Sunday the 20th were ran out of gas. I call for an emergency delivery at 9am Sunday morning THE 20TH. Spoke with a representative who said someone would be there within 24 hours. Monday morning can and went and no propan... read more
