Knights Inn (formerly known as Big Bear Inn) is the most disgusting hotel inside and outside. I stayed in a studio room with 2 queen beds (#316) which was located across the street from their main lodging building. The exterior had paint peeling, wooden slacks hanging off the side, dirty glass windows. Looks like a dump from the outside. The worst hotel we have ever been to. No hot water, old wall heater that was not working properly and dangerous to turn on, dangerous icy steps with no hand rails, paper thin windows and walls, one bed sheet and no blankets (the comforter was scratchy and unclean), broken toilet that we could not use in the morning, very dim lighting in the bathroom, bathroom sink that sprayed water all over if you turn the handle on. Grossly overpriced and should be shut down for major renovations and inspections.

The owner refused to give me a receipt after he charged me $100 for a damaged towel and called me ghetto and I didn't belong there. The damage towel was from the floors in the hotel after I had took a shower I stepped on the towel.

The smell of mold was overwhelming when walking in. We immediately waited out after entering. Do not stay here.

I recently stayed here. We booked for 5 people. The room we got was not capable of sleeping 5 people. They brought in an air mattress that didn't fit for my kids to sleep on the floor. That didn't work so they rearranged the room so they could fit a roll away bed. Then in the morning we were unable to shower due to no hot water. Not even slightly warm. We refused to stay the additional night we had already booked and they refused to give us refund. Horrible customer service!

Do not stay at America's Best Value Inn in Hot Springs SD. I called this Inn to make a reservation using the phone number given on the inn's website. My call was answered by a booking company but they did not identify themselves as such. They made a reservation for me and took my credit card info. My credit card was charged the quoted price. When I arrived at the Inn, they asked for my credit card to "verify" my reservation. They charged my credit card again! Guest rooms are clean and spacious. An emergency occurred in the building during my stay which required response from Baltimore PD and Baltimore FD. During the emergency, there were no hotel staff members present to communicate information to guests and provide assurance of building safety following the incident. When this concern was brought up to a manager the following morning, the hotel manager stated that only one person is working for the hotel at night. I am a member of red lion, I have been staying with them a total of 4 months just this year, everytime I call I get a rude person and no one will update my rewards, the motel has even called and get no respect, I am filing with the BBB, this is crazy you want our money but can not answer a simple question or have the guts to call a customer back!!!! I have called several times NO RESPONSE or HELP, the website is a joke and says we can't access your profile..CALL YOUR CUSTOMERS BACK FOR ONCE

This is the most corrupt and vile place to ever stay. They profile all customers and based on qualifications they choose to charge you more or less. They have illegal workers and they pay cash. This business has bed bugs, cockroaches, moths all in the rooms, mold on the beds and faulty wiring all thru out. ********going in and out all night and even hired by the cheapskate owner just so he can pay them with room and board instead of a check.
