We recently purchased a set of table lamps online from Value City Furniture. When they arrived and we unpacked the lamps we immediately noticed the base of the lamps were different. Additionally, we also realized the lamps were far too big for the purpose we purchased them for. This is the worst company I've ever been to. They cannot get your order right. When it shows up to your address it's going to be either broke or it's going to be all wrong. Then if you want it fixed. It will take 3 months to get the part, then add another 3 months to get a repairman out to fix the problem. Which the repairman will have the wrong part, and you will have to wait another 4 months to reorder the part and another 3 months for the repairman to come back to still have the wrong part. I have been paying on a layaway at the Value City Furniture located in Burbank, IL. I went in today thinking that I was making my final payment. However, I was told by the manager, Josie, that I had to pay for delivery. I presented my original receipts to her, but it did not matter. All she had to say was that the delivery charge somehow got dropped. The sales person at the Broad Street store Sam was excellent. The issues I have are with the outside delivery service. They delivered my recliner damaged and it was sent back. They then made a second delivery on Saturday and failed to bring the accessories for the chair to operate. I then drove to the store and the Managers Drew and Chris made a great effort and found me the needed accessories. I went to the North Olmsted store to buy a sectional. I was offered the floor model for a decent price. I told the salesman I'd be back as I had to get my credit card. Two days later, I went back & it was gone. I dealth w/a different sales rep who rang me up. When I got home, I realized he rang me up for the wrong thing; it was a misunderstanding (both sales reps were decent). However, to get the piece I wanted, I now had to pay $1700 vs the $1200. Absolutely no quality control. One would think that anything having to be plugged in to work that would be done before it is deliverd to someones home. I purchased a dartmouth sectional for 3,338.34 on 5-1-2023. It was delivered on 5-6-2023 with a non-working recliner. Once I saw that the chair did not work I no longer wanted that chair. The delivery person said that they could not take it back and that they had to put a work order in on it. Why do you have to fix something that is new? Ordered the Barlow Large Floating Entertainment Center in Black on November 14, 2022. The delivery date kept being moved back. On April 29, 2023 I was informed that the product is no longer available. So I have made payment on my Credit Card with Interest and the company has sent me a payment due notice every month and now they don't have the product. This is a cause of Fraud.
