I purchased two reclining console loveseats with electric recliner ($2000.00). just after one year the switch went out. I had purchased the extended warranty for these products. I had to go on line and file a claim which has turned out to be an ordeal. it took three weeks for them to respond then two weeks to get a contractor here to fix. he tore the switch out along with the wire covers and then said he did not have the correct part. he just left and left me a handful of pieces. four weeks later I received an email saying p... read more

I purchase a 4 piece bedroom set from Value City I also purchase a 5 year warranty on the furniture. After about a year the sliding mechanism and the dresser handles completely fell off one by one. I recently had the warranty department come in and take pictures of the furniture. Two days later I receive an email stating that the damage on the dresser was caused by "normal we are and tear" and that they do not cover normal wear and tear. I will never do business with or refer anyone to do business with Value City Furniture again. The customer service was atrocious. The first issue I had with Value City was when my wife and I purchased a sectional couch from them in 2015. We were told by staff that if we paid the extra money for the warranty, it would cover ALL damages and that they would replace or fix any damaged or defective piece of furniture. I have been having an issue with a purchase from the store located in Highland Hills, OH. I’ve contacted the store several times regarding this to no avail. I have sent an email to customer support twice . I have also sent a hard copy of that email to this corporate office. To this date I have not received any contact that will clear these issues I’m having. We bought more then $2000 furniture from Value City furniture **********, VA around 15 months ago with 5 years warranty paid $400.00. Just after a year and half the Sofa is sinking and sofa frame structure broke that the quality of furniture they are making. We filed the claim in June 2019 then the United warranty person came to see and make the report. He looks like very careless person. When we asked so what will be the next step. Don't buy the extended warranty! I bought the warranty for my new $1200 sofa bc I have 2 dogs. They said anything and everything was covered. Turns out nothing with pets is covered. They completely lied. The problem I had was the foam or fusion in the earl seat lost about 3" of height in its shape. They sent out a man and this man stated that this was a substantial drop in the foam. They did not cover bc they said I didn't report it in time. Absolutely disgusted with the service from all team members. Including the warranty company. I was on the phone over 30 mins and no one offered me a solution. Almost felt like they kept putting me on hold on purpose. I have a broken dining room chair that needs servicing. Promised a date- tech never came. I’ve been transferred to at least 3 people at this point. None has had a solution.

Have purchased my furniture from this store for many years. Always have a good experience, until recently. I bought a 300 dollar rug for my daughters room and they delivered it to wrong address. When I called and spoke with manger of this store he was very unprofessional, and lacked customer service. He basically blamed the wrong delivery on me, although I gave them correct address.
