Stop discriminating against the Southside of Chicago. Stop taking our money! VCF has rescheduled my delivery at least 6 times which is OUTRAGEOUS...The furniture is in Itasca il 52mins away if its not there why not try the other 134 locations and send my bedroom set which was scheduled for 8/25-9/22 which i just confirmed that last date on 9/14 smh...now my delivery date is NOVEMBER 7TH which will be cancelled too because they don't want to deliver to the Southside. In July 2020, I purchased multiply pieces of furniture from Value City store in Waldorf, Maryland. I was told that my delivery date was set for September 22nd 2020 for all of my items. I agreed to the delivery date not knowing what was coming down the road. As time pass, the corporate office started giving me different delivery dates blaming COVID-19 for the changes and never notifying me by email or phone. I ordered my couch 6/14/2020 with a scheduled delivery for 8/14/2020. I scheduled a vacation day in order to be home for the delivery. I received a call on 8/12/2020 that my couch would be delivered 8/14/2020. My husband and brother in law moved our couch to the basement the night before the delivery so the space would be ready. On 8/14/2020 I placed a call to Value City Warrensville Heights to see what time my couch would be delivered and was told that my delivery had been switched to the following Friday. Long time customer. They encourage you to buy the warranty that they don’t even honor.
Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. I wouldn’t even give it a single star. Waited for my room set for a bit over two months. Mind you in between the wait I had to return some of the things that they had me pick up in advance because they weren’t in the “Newest” condition. The items were scratched and dented. To then a weekend before my whole Order was “Ready” to be picked up they told me that another item was delay anoyher month and a half because the manufacturer didnt have it on stock. While the sales staff is superb the financing, service and logistics are the worst. Ordered a house full of furniture on 6/15 and had to pay 100% in full just to secure a delivery date which was 7/16 for only 1/2 the furniture. The balance was to deliver 8/27. On 8/27 the driver arrived 1 piece short. I called to find out the last item was delayed until 9/17. No call, no apology, no business! Payed 100% upfront and this is the service you get! Completely unprofessional, unorganized. Big mistake if you chose to shop here.
worst transaction I have made since I lived in the US. delayed twice, received half of the couch, and the half I received had no legs and no screws. I sent it back, and they are requiring restocking fee of 15% and transportation fee of 75$. PLEASE READ BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE especially from a corporate office. After an hour of being on hold, I was hung up on. I tried calling the corporate office the next day and spoke with Steve. I purchased a warranty with one of their products. I was told if I do not use the warranty, I will receive a credit to use at the store. I received my delivery today for a tv stand. It was not boxed when pulled of the truck. I was working at the time of delivery.so I did not have alot of time to inspect. The dust that was on it looked like it had been out in grandma's garage for months. Pictures to prove it. Called store 1st time on hold 20 minutes called back on hold 40 minutes .7 hours later no call back, sent 2 emails no response. 1st purchase and it will be my last.
