We purchased a couch, loveseat, recliner and accent chair on 5/16/2020 and it was delivered on 6/12/2020. On 9/9/2020 we had to have a technician come out and fix the recliner which had already broken and look at the other furniture because they seemed to be flimsy. The chair was fixed and the couch was tightened but nothing else. This furniture has turned out to be the biggest waste of money that we've ever spent. I have been a loyal customer of Value City in N. Canton, OH. I realize there are delays due to covid, however, my experience with purchasing a dresser and some night stands has been horrible. I was told up front there would be a delay when purchasing my items in Oct. However, I was assured I would at least recieve my night stands on Nov 19th. I ordered my couch in early August and paid it off in full on the purchase date. It was estimated to be delivered on October 14. A week before, they called to delay it to November 19 and a couple weeks before that they called again to delay it to December 4.... I've been waiting 4 months to get my $3500 couch. This is unacceptable!
I paid for my furniture in full, including delivery fee on 9/9/2020. The salesman spiel was that they are behind on orders, so the delivery date will be on 11/28/2020. No phone contact or email from Value City Furniture updating me on status of my order. From the order date to present, the online tracking did not change or update. I called and was put on hold, when the customer service representative came back on the phone, she asked me no questions, just reported that my delivery will be in on 01/15/2021. I ordered a bedroom set back in June. It was delayed twice. I received the final piece of furniture yesterday (November 25th) with the WRONG parts! I called Value City and this woman was unable tell me how or when I could receive the right parts and whether they'd be able to take back the wrong ones. She said she would call us back yesterday and didn't. Never have I ever given a review and wished there was an option for no stars! I wish I would have come to this site to see all of the negative reviews before I myself ended up in this situation. I have had the worst experience with VCF. I ordered my furniture on October 25, 2020. At the checkout I was told my delivery date would be December 3. On October 11, 2020 I purchased a bedroom set and recliner. I was told it would be delivered in a week's time. I was notified on October 16th I was notified, via voicemail, that the order would be delayed a month. The voicemail left no number to call back, no name of the person calling, and no additional details. I despise Value City and will NEVER give them my business again. It is completely understandable that there were delays due to Covid; what’s not acceptable is the fact that there is NO communication or customer service. My boyfriend and I bought a couch, ottoman, and 6 dinning room chairs back in June with the expectation that it would be a few weeks to get it delivered at the end of July.
