They are nice when you are shopping but once you purchase you are nobody to them. I was buying couches and advised the saleswoman that I have a dog and she recommended the protection plan and said it COVERS EVERYTHING. She said I would just have to call and make a claim and boom they send someone over right away, but that is incorrect. My couch has snags in them and when I made a claim they told me that’s not covered. At the end of the day there’s nothing covered on this plan and they just deny everything. Do NOT order from this company!!!! We found a couch we really liked, was of decent quality and at a good deal. Our estimated pick-up date was three months after the date it was ordered. I called the store two days before our pick-up day to confirm that the furniture was there and ready to be picked up. They said it was there and ready. My husband and brother-in-law drove almost an hour to the store to pick-up said furniture and only half of the couch was there - and was there as a floor model, not in the custom fabric option... read more

I bought a chair from them and a month later it started falling apart. They refused to refund me and offered to repair it. I declined because I have zero confidence that it will last. I would recommend never to buy furniture from Value City.

First of all, after waiting almost 1 1/2 months for delivery, I love the sofa I purchased! It's absolutely gorgeous! However, I purchased it based on having the coordinating 40"painting that was with it, which I was told was damaged on the truck and wont be available again until May 4. Before that notification, I had already spent $300 buying accessories to match the painting and sofa combo. The store I visited was the one at Downers Grove I'LL. WORSE EXPERIENCE WITH FURNITURE SHOPPING. THEY SOLD ME USED MATTESS at over 2,500. They changed it 3 times at 2 months each time even when we will call next day COMPLAINING ABOUT BUMPS IN THE BED. YOU CAN FEEL WHERE SOMEONE USED TO SLEEP. VERY DISGUSTING. (THEY JUST WON'T GIVE U MONEY BACK. (they say is 10 yr warranty so you have to deal w it and hope next MATRESS will be ok.) But one MATRESS was WORSE than the other. Hi there, We ordered our furniture in November from Value City Furniture our original delivery day was January then pushed to February then pushed to March and today we got a. Phone call that delivery is May 4th, we are extremely disappointed at this point, we wanted to order more items from VCF with our credit line as we need bedroom furniture as well and other items but now we are hesitant to do so now with the poor service delivery, we have been long time clients of VCF and feel this is unacceptable awaiting half a year f... read more

We had a very bad customer service issues in Value City Furniture. We had purchased a matress with 10 year warranty and it went to a very bad condition in only few years . We went to store and purchased an upgrade mattress. They charged us double the delivery fee and the second mattress which is a boxed mattress( they didn’t mentioned that in the store) . Placed an online order, was told I have the option of split payment. The entire order was placed on one card. I spent two hours holding and was told the website didn’t have the capability to do split payment. Therefore, I would have to make a duplicate purchase and wait 7 business days for a credit. The supervisor, Tracy, showed no empathy and refused to extend a courtesy. I also didn’t receive confirmation of my cancellation.

SCAM!!!! Absolutely Terrible Customer Service!!!! I purchased the Rialto sectional a few years ago and was told it was leather. Come to find out it is "faux" leather and it is flaking off. I emailed their customer service. After several emails (even providing pictures) was told that Rialto sectional was discontinued. Sorry, we cannot help you! Consumer BEWARE!!
