We have now heard the horror stories about value city and are unfortunately experiencing them first hand. Less than two years ago we purchased a sectional sofa with recliners features. To our distress the padding in it is now collapsing. BUYER BEWARE SCAM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.
We purchased a couch and love seat from the Buffalo store and with in 6 mos one of the cushions on the love seat tore, came apart. They sent out a repair man who said it was to large of a tear to repair. Nothing we did caused the tear, it simply came apart. They want to offer us $238.14 for the DEFECT....what are we supposed to do with $238.14? This place is a JOKE! DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered a sectional couch and chair on November 30, 2020. I still have not received my furniture, my delivery date has been changed 4 times with the new date of July 1st. I’m not holding my breath! I’m very frustrated, we had new hardwood flooring put in so I coordinated the dates with the contractor based on the first delivery date I was given. Worst furniture experience ever! I would avoid these smarmy tricksters at all costs. Spent $3,000 of dining room furniture that was half delivered. The half that was delivered was broken. We were assured a replacement that never came. The half that didn’t come we were told wouldn’t arrive for over 3 months! They are pathetic!! I purchased a 3seat recliner and a love seat recliner on 4/3 by paying in full! I get a call on 5/9 that they have only the 3 seat recliner and love seat recliner will not be available until 6/15 (when they promised to have it delivered on 5/22) I told the associate to send me the 3 seat recliner on or before 5/22 if that is what they have available and I just got one seat dumped in my living room instead of the whole 3 seat recliner. Is this a VCF warehouse??
I almost never leave reviews but this is the worst furniture company I have ever dealt with. I purchased a bedroom set back in OCTOBER 2020 and had to wait 7 months (May 2021) to get the set. I get it. Coronavirus and all but 7 months is a long time. Only to find out that the set came defective. They canceled the delivery date (after changing it multiple times because the manufacturer wasn't done making the set) and told me that they were able "fix" the set by buffing out the scratches before attempting to deliver again. I would not even rate them a 1! Don’t do business with this company in general or with the acceptance now option!!!!! They charged us 60% interest and that was NOT disclosed! We paid it -what we thought was off in 7 months, but because they had us in a “term” we paid $2,800 for our $1,300 items! WOW! We will NEVER ever recommend or be a return customer! This is just wrong! So wrong on so many levels! To charge that much interest is absolutely absurd!
I ordered furniture back in February and they have some of the pieces we ordered but not all do they keep pushing or delivery. We called to see if we can get the items they do have delivered. They refused. Saying it’s in a clause that they won’t do multiple deliveries. They refuse to give us the clause where it says this. They are holding onto furniture that we are paying for but refusing to deliver. What can I do?
We ordered a couch and loveseat that was set for delivery on April 20th. Come that time they tell us it’s not for delivery it’s for us to pickup (not true since they set a delivery date and asked for my address for delivery) ... so now If we wanted to have it delivered we would have to wait until July.
