**************** is unreliable and deceiving to the customer at time of purchase. I purchased a table, 6 chairs and an entertainment center and also paid for the Pure Promise warranty to protect against accidents from Value City. I have been very pleased with the purchase until the other day when my table apparently had a reaction with something set on the table for literally about 6 hours. I ordered furniture, and the delivery date was changed without consulting me, and didn't want to honor delivery date already agreed upon. Not interested in customer service, a lot of excuses for not following through with the proposed date of delivery. The order was placed a month in advance, and I was told all the items ordered where in stocks and would be delivered on proposed date. This is my last time doing business with Value City and I will share this experience with all my friends and family, not to order from them.

On May 31st I bout a couch and love seat. I was told the furniture was in stock. I set up a date for VCF to deliver because I needed time to get rid of my old furniture (furniture companies no longer take the old furniture due to bed bugs and Covid). Three days straight in a row I got calls asking to move up the date of delivery. Each time I explained why I could not. We bought the insurance guaranteed warranty on all of the furniture we purchased with the promise of our sales rep that it would be much worth it . I recently bought a recliner from value city furniture. I only had it for 18 months and hardly used it. On Thursday,June 15 it caught on fire while my son was asleep on the couch next to the recliner. It instantaneously caught on fire my smoke detector went off My son was in shock and almost got burned!!! Im extremely disappointed that this furniture company would sell a faulty furniture that endangered our lives. Ive called the insurance company and they told me they will only reimburse me for $300thats absurd!!! Ive shoppe... read more
