American Signature lie about the delivery date at time of purchase. When I bought AND PAID CASH for my daughter bed room table in April I was told it would be delivered on Saturday of 2022. I then got an email saying delivery was changed to March 2022. I got a confirmation email and call stating my daughters bed was ready for pick up. I ordered a Uhaul and went to pick up my daughters bed, to be told it wasnt there. It was on back order. Why would they call for me to pick up? They are the worst company do not buy anything from them they are rude they dont care anything about the customers i bought furniture that took a year to deliver the furniture was faulty i called to have it serviced and Im on a blackout list where they wont service my furniture or anything Ive called corporate just get put on hold the people there dont care they are the worst i will sit on the floor before i ever buy a piece of furniture from this company

Brought a sofa set and chaise was defected by being a couple of inches too short. I didn't realize the chaise was too short for about 3 months when my husband kept complaining that it was uncomfortable and didn't feel like it did in the store.. It's a leather set so what could happen to a leather set in 3 months. I was told that I could only exchange the chaise for the correct size BUT I didn't trust that would be the case so I wanted to exchange for another set. My husband and I purchased the nest sofa for over $3,000. It took Value City three months to deliver the sofa. After having the sofa for two months, the seams started bursting out from the cushions . We called to have the sofa cushions repaired and were told that we would receive two replacement cushions. The order was reported in November. This is now April and we have not received anything. Received damage end table called 4 times still waiting for shipping label to send it back 03/28/2022. Just getting a run around One person told me to take it to a store it would be a 170 mile trip

I purchased a chase sofa chaise combination. The warranty company Pure Promise is a fraud. They take your money and deny every claim due to unable to see pictures. Then Pure Promise supervisor told VC Corporate they would send someone out. Now 10 days later they haven't even called to schedule an appointment. I've spoken with Value City corporate office on several occasions now with no success. This is an embarrassment to Value City, but they continue to push the Warranty. My wife and I ordered a sofa and love seat on 1/2/22. The first delivery was canceled with no phone call. Took the day off work and nothing. Next one was canceled no notice. I was told the love seat was there but not the sofa and that was why. I talked to the manager and he set up a delivery for just our love seat. Delivery canceled it. Again I took the day off. Business response:

The store manager at the **** location refuses to call me back. I have now been asked 3 times to take delivery one Wednesday 4/13 yet you can't even give me a time for delivery. My wife and I can't take more time off work for this. We have a child on the way and this is unwanted and unneeded stress for my wife and unborn child. I can't even get ahold of anyone at the Novi location but Westland where it was ordered from will at least answer but they cannot get thru to **** either.

We purchased the warranty for our $2,000 furniture purchase. First visit was fine - now they are asking for a copy of our receipt before accepting our second claim?! I have it - not an issue - but when you go through their app to file the claim - it literally pulls up your purchase date/information. Such a terrible stall tactic. Will never purchase from them again - you get what you pay for - total c***

I am a customer that believes in the warranty programs but when I purchased my furniture at value city I had put a claim in for the Pure promise protection due to scratches on my leather furniture from my husbands tools left in his pocket. We put this claim in and it was immediately denied we disputed the claim and it was denied again. I am not sure why they are not living up to the protection plan but I will never purchase furniture again from this company and I will ensure that all of my friends and family are aware that t... read more
