I purchased 2 sofas with this company and got the pure promise warranty for an extra $300 to protect my furniture from anything my kids could throw at it for 5 years the sale rep told me. 1 year and 1 month later I noticed 1 couches cushion threads were coming out and theres a rip on the pillow so its totally pulling away from the back casing and stuffing is coming out. Value City has internal policies that conflict with the Sale tax exemption laws in that benefit religious organization. Their argument is that the furniture is for personal use, I explained that the ministries we have to furnish apartments, but is is property of the organization. But they did not care.
Horrible! The sectional I paid high dollar for was broken within 3 Months, repeatedly. I took 1 year to get the part, due to Covid, and when it was replaced the technician left the cord out and when the recliner was closed it snapped back in half, once again broken. After repeated calls to ******************* they agreed to replace it but the sectional was no longer sold and I would have to pick out a new one. I ordered a $1000.00 lift chair for my father in law that has a bad back and bad hips. Since we ordered the chair we had to wait 3 weeks which turned into about 6 weeks for the chair. Once we got it he used it 2 times and got stuck in the chair due to the brain box went out. They sent a guy out to tell us he would order a new box which instead they are replacing his chair but we have to take back the old chair and pickup the new chair. I have had a terrible experience with American Signature Furniture. I ordered a sectional 12/22 and should have been delivered 5/3/22. My delivery was delayed twice. I took time off from work. I called customer service as well as the store and both were unable to provide details regarding ETA of the drivers. **************** reps were rude and had poor customer service skills. I will never purchase from this company again. Horrible.
I have never had such a negative experience purchasing from a company, and most certainly have never felt the need to file a complaint. I ordered a dining room table in December and a pick up date was scheduled for January 14th. I received a call that my table had arrived so l arranged for a hauling team to meet me a Value City. Ordered furniture in December. Received 2nd week of Jan. **** delivered one recliner was broke. Called, sent a representative out Feb 7th. Said would order part and get it fixed. Here we are April 28th and still have a broken recliner. Call weekly to get a different story from the manager. We purchased a living room set in March. The initial delivery date was April 9th. They called and said the right recliner for the couch didn't come on the truck and pushed my delivery date out to April 27th. I received another call stating that the piece still hadn't come in but that they could deliver what they did get and set another delivery date for the other piece once they got it.
