People often only like to leave reviews when they are upset. If someone is pleased a lot of the time they don't think to go rant about how amazing a company is. I am here to do that. I have rented my home with Tricon for not even a full year, but almost. Last month my fiance passed away. Tricon bought the house we are renting from another company. The house has a smart lock. During the transition the entry code was wiped. I found out by being locked out of my property while out on a run. So coming home in shorts with no key an no phone, I could not get into my house. I called the emergency number from a neighbors house and got bounced around for over two hours. Very POOR attempt to help. Nasty company, they do not care for customers at all, they tried to make us move into a home that was filthy, they said we needed to replace the carpet ourselves before we moved in

I have been looking for a property management company that accepts the GA Housing Choice Voucher and based on a conversation with a customer service rep at Tricon American Homes last year, they did accept the voucher. Now after 16 months of waiting on something to become available in the area I want and at the price I want, I've found something only to be told you no longer accept Section 8. Horrible customer service. Even after calling for repairs they take a week to get back to you. Then after you finally schedule something they don’t turn up claiming they didn’t have you on the schedule but they called to ‘follow up’. If this place did not offer the Vistancia resident benefits nobody would bother to rent here for the pathetic way they treat their tenants plus the rent isn’t cheap. Terrible experience since we’ve moved in only 5 months ago!! Bugs coming out of the drains in the bathroom, paint peeling off walls, railings and trim, rotting porch, water leaks. Not to mention my entire garage door fell straight out of the ceiling almost on my brand new car and 5 year old child!! 2 doors down from my home the renter moved out and damage the road with the rental truck (I have pictures). My development is NOT on a public road, so no government repairs will be made. Tricon will not come repair - said, "They are not responsible for the renter doing damage to the development". Thanks for bringing your trash to my neighborhood - Charlotte, NC
