I applied for a home in Arlington Texas that was managed by tricon American homes. I was denied and never told why. My rental history is perfect there's, not a blemish on my criminal history, and I made almost four times what the monthly rent for the property would be. My credit is not perfect because I carry a lot of debt from my late husband. When I called and asked why I was denied, a representative told me that they don't pull credit score. Tricon has TERRIBLE customer service. Just moved in 3 months ago and it's been non-stop maintenance requests every month. The maintenance vendors that they contract do half work. So the problem never is fully resolved and you end up having issues again within the same month. The communication is horrible. The maintenance supervisor Shadee Is impossible to reach. The foreperson Josh never answers his phone so I'm not even sure if he's a real person. And the portfolio manager Janet Cho is useless. Issues never get resolved, th... read more

We spend barely 1 year at rental. Gave timely notice to move out. Received a letter stating that they agree and since it is a high in demand season if we could possibly move out sooner. No problem. We turned in all our keys and left the property cleaner than we received it. I supplied my carpet cleaning receipt. I did everything by the book. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. First I was charged for renters insurance when I provided proof of insurance and I continue to have to fight with them every month to remove the charge. The worst of all is the air co ditioning unit went out on my rental home, it’s nearly 100 degrees and I was told someone will call me to repair it. A day later and still no call. I pay my rent on time and expect that when a repair needs to be made it is done right away. This heat is dangerous.

I was told yesterday from the company contracted to fix the AC unit that it can not be fixed but has to be replaced. They notified Tricon of this prior to me moving in, the AC has had several issues in the past. When I called Tricon back after finding this out I was told no one would be in the office to help me until next week. Please beware before signing a contract with this company. I will seek legal help.
If I could give them a zero I would, for starters they just want your application fee and after that they won’t bother with you! They denied my application immediately, when I called to ask why, they stated that the only way I could have a denied application was due to 1) Evictions 2) Bankruptcies 3) Owned back rent... which neither fit the bill... The absolute worst experience I have had with a property management company. My family and I moved into our home on November 1st, 2018. Five days later, after a day of rain, our entire garage and lower bedroom flooded. It started as an unfortunate event to bad maintenance coordination and outright negligence. We have had contractors in and out of the house for months. My wife and I have taken plenty of days off of work for maintenance people to access the home.
