This was probably one of the best experiences in a restaurant I've ever had, the entire experience was so much fun, I kept my eyes wide open the whole time, waiting for something to happen at our table and they didn't disappoint us, from hand food, fog, fire, and childhood memories to food executed perfectly, no wonder why this place is such a legendary stop in Chicago
What an experience! We dined last night as an early birthday surprise. The staff were very hospitable from the moment we walked inside. We ate in the salon and the smell of citrus creeped upon us as we were escorted to our table. Not overbearing but very pleasant. We knew we were in for an incredible experience. Alinea was unbelievable. The food, the staff, the atmosphere, the whimsical nature of every element of the evening... incredible. We heard about Alinea through Chef's Table(Season 2 Episode 1, on Netflix) and learned we were only a half day drive from there, so we went! We will def. be back again. Worth every penny and more.

Just experienced an adult Disneyland, taking a ride through smoke, ice and fire, with amazing tastes, smells and visual magic while sitting down in a restaurant beautifully designed to embrace the culinary art exhibit. Surprise and laughter filled the night with a glimpse of the long forgotten childhood. Highly recommend the tasting menu with wines, they marry together, like music to dancing. And of course the most wonderful service that made the whole experience complete.
A dinning experience like no other! The chefs table was simply stunning and almost mesmerizing tickling all your senses. A wonderful surprise with each food / wine paring and detail given to everything from the serving piece to each garnishing. The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming! Thank you Kellen for hosting our table for the evening!
If you are lucky enough to dine here, you are lucky enough. Each dish takes you on a journey no one can prepare you for. Nothing tastes as it looks. Each dish is presented in a way that tells a story. Don’t be shy interacting with your captains. Let them walk you through the experience and enjoy yourselves! It is not only incredibly delicious but it is SO much fun!!
An amazing experience that I suggest to anyone in town. I've been to all of the other restaurants by Chef Achatz and I must say, this was the best way to cap it. The sommelier was excellent in guiding our selection for wine. Our server was attentive and prompt. I dont want to spoil any future diners with what each meal entailed, but will say that any way I can describe it falls short. The taste, smell, and textures of each dish transport you somewhere else. I can't wait to dine again
Greatest day of my life. Every aspect of my experience was incredible.
