About this business

The name Alinea is taken from a symbol meaning ‘a new idea.’ After a major revamp of the entire restaurant, Alienea was born again with upscale contemporary features. It features a unique concept of offering three different experiences across its three floors- The Kitchen Table, The Gallery and The Salon. With a menu focusing on New American and avant-garde dishes, Scallop paper noodle and onion wagyu beef are some of the chef's offerings. Not only are the flavors an exquisite work of art, but also the presentati... read more

An incredible dining experience eclipsed only by the gracious hospitality of the entire Alinea staff.

Alinea completely redefined food for me. Nothing I've had compares to this meal, and I definitely plan on making a return trip in the future.

It’s all about the experience. From the moment I entered the door to the moment I got in my Lyft the evening was enchanting. The service was superb. Friendly and unpretentious, as a solo diner I really appreciated that...everyone was engaging and fun. The food was perfect but the (maybe obvious) thing about Alinea is the journey through the courses. I felt I was participating in a performance that was impeccably spot on. Bravo! I went in alone and came out rewarded with and evening of pure delight

Style over substance. Some dishes borderline inedible. No “wow” dishes. White wine served not at correct temperature. Weird beer selection. Fly in our wine! Very expensive and doesn’t stand up in comparison to other restaurants of its kind.

A totally embodied food experience. Achatz thinks of every sense- from the scent of oranges when we approached our table, to the excursion into the kitchen, eating at Alinea is a full bodied experience. I love the mystery and the magic of each dish and the ways in which one folds into the other. Achatz is a sensory genius and I hope to visit Alinea again!

Flawless service, perfectly balanced food, thoughtful wine pairings, and unparalleled attention to enagaging all the senses. There is a sense of wonder instilled early that does not ever diminish. The staff is unobtrusively attentive, extremely knowledgable, and (in Devin's case at least) hilariously wry. You won't be able to predict what happens next as the tasting unfolds. Bring an appetite, because even though many plates are small, after 3+ hours and 20 odd course you'll most definitely want room left for dessert. Magica... read more
